DDP/TIW Questions....Please Help

Hi everyone, hope someone can explain to me how this works.

We are planning a trip for February and it would be DH and I and his brother and wife and their 3 kids. DH and I are passholders and have a TIW card. His brother and family want to get the Deluxe DDP. How would that work for meals we eat together? Is it not a big deal to split us into 2 checks so they can do DDP and we can use TIW?

Also, what do you do for places like Cindy's where you pay beforehand? Can I just tell them that even though the ressie would be for a party of 7 that 5 would be using the DDP?

Please help - DH and I don't use the DDP so I don't know how some of these things work even though I am familiar with the basics of how the plan works. :brick:

When dining together you will simply get 2 separate checks. For prepaid places like CRT you will still be required to give a CC number even though you are on the DDP. For one with the DDP and one without I can see 2 possibilities...1. book separately 2. Prepay with a CC and then have them credit it back.

Those were the two options I thought of too but I was hoping there was an easier way....I should have known better.

I think we may just book CRT separately then and see if they can seat us close together. I really don't feel like having 7 meals charged to my credit card if I don't have to - it is expensive enough for 2 people!
