I never saw this officially posted, but allears has a bit on it -- anybody else know more

With the basic dining plan, you can choose to eat at more than 100 participating Disney restaurants. For each night of your package stay, the dining plan will allow each person to get:
--One table-service meal (including appetizer, entree, dessert, or full buffet, non-alcoholic beverage, and gratuity/service charge; dessert not available at breakfast)

--One counter service meal (including entree/combo meal, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage; dessert not available at breakfast)

upd.gif
--One snack -- As of May 2006, most snack items under $4 are eligible for the dining plan snack credit. Eligible snacks will be indicated on the menu with a Dining Plan symbol.

(Note that children age 3-9 must choose from a children's menu, if one is available.)

These credits activate as soon as you check in to your resort and can be used at any time, in any combination, during your stay.

What are the restrictions, are there a list of items anywhere? Does the WDW site have more info than "some snacks under four bucks"? Hopefully this means CHURROS! Or Edy's on Main St.

Currently, the official list of snack choices has not changed for the 2006 Disney Dining Plan.

On the Disney Dining Plan, each Snack entitlement includes a choice of one (1) of the following:

Frozen ice-cream novelty, Popsicle or Fruit Bar
Single serving box of popcorn
Single piece of whole fruit
Single service Grab Bag of Frito-Lay's Brand Chips
Single serving Prepackaged Milk or Juice
20-ounce bottle of Coke, Diet Coke or Sprite
24-ounce bottle of Dasani Water
Medium sized fountain soft drink
12-ounce Coffee, Hot Chocolate, or Hot Tea

Each restaurant/snack location is free to add additional items at their own discretion. Look for the DDP logo at Quick Service, Cart, and select merchandise locations for eligible snack items on the posted menu for additional options. Only those items that are consistently offered on the Disney Dining Plan throughout the Walt Disney World Resort will be listed on any official Walt Disney World Brochure.

Please also note, allearsnet.com is not an authorized Disney website and therefore is not an accurate source of official information. For the most accurate information, please refer to the official Walt Disney World website at www.disneyworld.com or call 1-407-W-DISNEY.

So, officially, it's the same stuff.

I can keep spending my snack points on a 90 cent banana then.
No! There's a ton of items that have the little dining plan logo. Every place we went last month had items with the symbol. Ice creams, pieces of cake, and even Dole Whips. You'll find plenty to use your snack options on. I kept noticing the logo everywhere we went.

"Official" or not, the info from allears.net is correct to what is going on physically in reality in the parks!

If anybody knows of a rough list. It would be nice to know if there is something that we may be missing out on. Maybe it will include Mickey Krispie Treats -- the choc dipped kind. Yum! Or some of the pastries around W/S -- Funnel cakes and Eclairs. That would be sweet. Or desserts at the resort... can't get enough Tie-dye Cheesecake!

I do remember someone posting on here that they were able to get pastries from the Kringla Bakeri og Cafe in Germany as their snacks!

I would love a new snack list too!

There is the bakery at MGM, wonder what's included there. Also will smooties and milkshakes count now. Somebody already said Dole Whips, maybe other frozen treat instead of popcycles and ice cream bars are also in.

Yes I am happy that MANY ppl have come back from WDW reporting to be able to get $4 and under snacks and I am happy to see they have updated the brochure to include this. Also in some cases it wont hurt to ask Can I get this on a snack credit for the DP if its under $4!

On DISboards.com someone has posted a running thread that lists all the snack items that visitors have noted with the dining plan logo. It is on the Dinning plan board under the thread titled Confirmed snacks included on the dining plan/add yours here. There are tons of snacks listed by park and resort. Some things noted to be included: Main Street Bakery: Cinnamon rolls and French toast loaf, Ahola Isle: Dole Whip soft serve, Fountainview cafe: Smoothies. Also at the Beach club market place you can get a package of donuts, Thomas' English muffins which seem to make great breakfast options.

WOW! that's awesome. A box of doughnuts at the resorts. SWEET. That's like 3 breakfasts. Also includes some great dessert items at Fountianview and Dockside, something I would never fork out 3-4 bucks for on my own, but with DDP, it's now a really great deal. This now make's the DDP something I might purchase (I had it last year free, and am doing it again). This locks in a good 3 meals per day. Now you don't feel that you have to use the snack for a soda or water... how many boxes of popcorn can you eat in a trip anyways.
