Am starting to get excited about our trip next May (I know it is forever away but I am getting excited).

We have QS with our 14 night holiday. Last year we had the same but we did not spend all of our credits by far. In fact we treated a couple and a family of 5 to a meal in wolfgang puck.

We used some of our credits as 3 snack credits to buy sweets to take home.

I know that 2018 there is a change to the plane where I will get 2 meals and 2 snacks and my drink.
I heard the meals no longer include a desert. Are the meals still exchangeable for 3 snack credits?
Any other suggestions on how to use up credits for treats to bring home?

The swapping of credits for snacks is unofficial, although has been happening for some time. No way of knowing whether the same will be true in2018 but no reason to think not. I think there is one food court (POP maybe) where they do not allow it.

But 2 QS meals shouldn't be that hard to use surely, unless you are planning several off-site days. Even if you aren't breakfast people you still have lunch and dinner, and without desserts should make it easier to use without over-eating. A bottle of water and Mickey bar a day takes care of those snacks! There are better uses for them too of course, my favourite is the Haagen Dazs ice cream tubs (1 snack credit), available in every deluxe resort shop at least :joyfull:.

Are you buying the QS plan or is it free dining? If you are paying for it, and you don't think you will use them all then maybe reconsider whether it's worth it.

Hi yes we have it as free dining. We had what I feel was a good deal with the package so am not too upset if we do not always use it.

It was nice to bring home treats for my son's friends.

Problem I had was where they rotate peolpe through dining room jobs. Everybody had a different idea of what was included in a DDP meal. At the end of the trip we were trying to use up snack credits and a supervisor was running the register and gave me snack credit as part of our meals. Which was nice but shows they can charge you multiple ways.

Save yourself the hassle and put your snacks in your checked luggage on the way home.
