DDP Question

Going to WDW in March, this will be my our first time using the DDP. We have opted to get the QS plan. I have read a lot about the plan and how to get the most out of it. One thing I see contradicted online is the exchange of 1 QS credit for snack credits. Most sites say you can exchange for 3 snack credits (in one transaction), but I have seen a few sites say 2 as well. Has anyone been in the past few weeks that knows for sure?

And here's a tip. At Kidani Village I found the tubs of Hagen Diaz ice cream was a snack. We had 2 QS meals left over and got 3 tubs plus some pretzels (I drew the line at 6tubs of ice cream, despite my son's pleading). So check at the resort shop. Might want to see if your fridge has a freezer compartment first though!

My friend was just there and she was told by a CM that a QS is only worth 2 snacks now that the dessert is no longer included. Hopefully that CM was just misinformed.

Thanks for your reply. Have you been to WDW recently (2017) to experience this? I only ask because in doing the math this seems to be the point where it will or won't be worth it for us to get the DDP. I am planning on adding the plan in the next week or so.

Thank you for your reply. That was also the reason that I found while searching online. Although, many reputable sites still say 3 credits. I'm hoping your friend was just dealing with a misinformed CM.

You're very welcome! And No I haven't this year yet but know many that have been this year and it's still 3 snacks. If it had changed to 2 it would be all over the place on here and other reputable Disney sites.

That makes sense. I have googled all over, and have only found the 2 snack credit info on new to me sites. Although, many sites don't seem to talk about the exchange at all. I guess I will find out for myself soon enough!

Yes that's misinformation what probably happened and I bet that's where the confusion comes from, is you now get TWO snacks EACH NIGHT instead of one and no deserts with QS meals (still get desert at TS) as per the extra snack with the QS plan and regular dining plan. But the conversion has not changed down to 2 it is still 1 QS= 3 snacks.

Happy to hear it. I was hoping she got bad info. We always share meals and buy tons of snacks to bring home for my nieces and nephews. This will make them VERY happy.
