The last time we "needed" to (2011), we were able to convert counter service credits from the DDP to 3 snack credits. Is this still available?

We have done it in the past, but on our last trip (Aug. 2013) we were told it was no longer allowed :(

When we where there in November 2013 we could too. How many snacks we got for each credit depended on who we asked. One CM said like for like , another 2 per CS credit and a third gave us 4 per CS credit. So just ask there seems to be no set rule.

On our last trip, november 2013 they didn't allow that conversion. I had about 3 or 4 QS left over...after already using about 4....a manager did let me get ONE shack for each point...but no longer the 1 for 3 that had allowed on my previous trip!

I get the distinct impression this is one of those "more a guideline than a rule" things, up to the discretion of any manager at given establishment. I could be wrong, but to have so many people at different times saying "I could" and "I couldn't" leads me to believe there's no set-in-stone policy.

Last trip, we found ourselves with 4 QS credits at the end of our stay. As an Army Civilian employee, I am always on the lookout for servicemembers and veterans so that I can honor their service. While in the PoP food court, I saw a gentleman wearing an Operation Enduring Freedom cap and his young family with their dinner approaching the line. As he got to the register, I asked the cashier if I could pay for his family's meal. The cashier called the manager over and we completed the transaction. As I was walking away, the manager asked if I would like to grab a snack for myself, wife and family for the ride to the airport.
When you have an opportunity, do something special for someone else. Everyone gets something from it.

Wow, good people do exist in these forums (contrary to popular posts of sarcasm and nastiness)! Thank you for encompassing what Disney is all about, sir. :D

What a fabulous idea, and much better for my waistline than loading up on extra snacks.;)

Just wondering if certain resorts are more likely than others to allow point conversions than others. Maybe it depends on the number of people requesting to have their points converted?

This ^^^ also, it depends on where you go and who you ask. If you *plead your case* to some CMs (for instance.. say youre leaving the next day and your sister at home just LOVES caramel popcorn at KK, they may be sympathetic). It doesnt hurt to ask :)

You most certainly can, BUT, it depends on the resort AND if you are a guest staying at said resort. On our most recent trip (Feb.), we stayed at VGF, and on check-out day, we still had a few QS meals that we couldn't possibly consume….so, we asked the attending CM at Gasperilla's if "they" participated in the QS -> snack conversions, which they do! 3 snacks = 1 QS meal My family walked away with bagged snacks, fresh fruit, and drinks for the bus ride to the airport.

Best to ask the attending CM first, and then make your selections.

Also, we have "paid" for other guests when we couldn't possibly get thru all those QS meals. In June 2013, I stood at the Boardwalk Pizza window, and used 12 QS meals and "bought" 4 large pizzas, 8 sodas, & 8 desserts for 4 families; and 4 more meals for people at the Boardwalk Bakery! You would've thought they won the lottery (only after their suspicions of generosity were relieved). My DH and I figured we wanted to use 'em, instead of lose 'em, whether it was for our family, or another.
