DDE vs DDP

Ok, here's my question (s)...
there is an AP package which includes 30% off DDP. DH and I (and DS) mostly eat at the signature restaurants :slurp: (one night at V & A). Breakfast will be at the BC concierge lounge most of the time. Staying for 12 nights, 13 days in Dec. :sohappy: While reviewing DDP, the basic plan seems like not enough due to the 2 credits needed for most of our dinners. Would the Deluxe DDP be better than using DDE? We have used DDE last 2 trips, and found it to be easy, and saved us a ton! Seems like too much to keep track of (extra stress) with the DDP:shrug: HELP:brick: Thanks
Pam

Just to clarify...you aren't getting 30% off the DDP. Disney is claiming that you can save up to 30% by using the DDP. Since you seem to like the signature dining experiences the Deluxe Plan would probably be a better choice so you don't lose too many days by taking two credits per meal. You need to price out what would be better for you to see if the chosen DDP or DDE is a better bet. It all depends on the person...and you will get mixed opinions on both. Also, since you expressed interest, the DDP does not cover a meal at Victoria and Albert's. Only the more expensive vacation packages do that, so factor that in if you are planning on eating there.

Thanks so much, I didn't read the fine print:lol: I thought it was 30 % off what they normally charge for the DDP. I'll just stick w/ what I know.

It also looks like you won't be doing a lot of the counter service meals, with breakfast at the BC, so that part of the DDP would possibly be wasted. The DDE gives you a straight discount off of food and wine (plus free resort parking), then adds tip back. Should give you more flexibility, and save money. One night at V&A (dining room only) should almost be break even for the DDE. FWIW.
