I know that you can't have visible tattoos or plugs. It says you cant have retainers in ANY body piercing, even those not visible to the eye (which seems odd to me but okay). How strictly do they enforce the "no plugs" rule? I have plugs in my ears, but I wear jewelry that makes them barely noticeable. My ears will never fully close so even if I take them out, I will still have a hole in my ear. Anyone have experience with this?

Just buy some flesh colored plugs and it should be fine. We have several people at my work that have to wear them because of the holes in their ears!
I'm just nervous because it says no plugs and no retainers.. so flesh colored plugs are a mix of both. so they do an official inspection or anything?

I work at a restaurant where u can't have gauged ears. Several of our employees do, so they wear the flesh colored ones to "hide" them. They should be allowed at numerous work places. I would rather have someone wearing flesh colored ones that aren't very noticeable than seeing someone with gaping holes in their ears. U can always call and ask, but I'm positive they will tell u to get flesh colored ones to cover up

They only time they would do an inspection is before you go into Traditions.

how strict are they with the inspection?

no offense people, but i really dont want to hear about how your current job doesnt allow plugs (mine doesnt either, but i keep them blocked up so you cant tell that there's holes in my ears)... i pretty much NEED to know from people who have worked for WDW so i can plan accordingly/know what to expect.

They don't go over you with a microscope, but it's pretty intense. They probably would notice the holes in your ear if you leave out the plugs, but I doubt the plugs would cause an issue.

so what do you think... this is my ear with the diamond plugs i wear at work

should i stick with them, or get flesh colored ones? which ones do you think will be less of an issue?

I feel like I'm making this a bigger deal than it should be... but my tattoos were a big deal to them and I didnt mention the plugs because I never thought of it until afterwards.

Earrings are allowed but I'm not sure what the max allowable size is. I think the one in the picture would be OK.

I'm pretty sure that earrings are limited to the size of a dime. In my experience, those look like they could be a problem. They can be really picky (and unfortunately inconsistent)about the Disney look, you could possibly get past one person and then get written up by an area manager at another time. I doubt they would pass you up for the program altogether if you are otherwise qualified but they may put you in a non guest contact role such as 3rd shift custodial.

They will turn you away if you show up with plugs in your ears. They absolutely will not justify wearing flesh colored plugs as "The Disney Look". Weigh your options and see what is more important for you: building your resume or having holes in your ears? I took my 1" plugs out almost three years ago for this very reason. In September, I was interviewed in person and was not denied a position.

The holes won't be a problem, just go without a retainer for traditions and such.
