DCL Dream Spa for Kids

Does anybody know if there are any spa treatments available for kids (as in 9 y/o) on the Disney dream.

On the Magic, my daughters were able to get thier nails done in the Spa. They want to do it again on the sea day on our upcomming cruise on the Dream. There was nothing I could find on-line when booking excursions. There are plenty of adult only things in the Spa - kids names don't even come up as a booking choice.

Is there anything for kids, and if so, can they be reserved on line (rather than fight the mad crush at boarding)

Thanks

Dave, on the Dream they have the new Chill spa which is a designated spa area for teens. They advertise it as ages 13 or 14 to 17. However, I just did a quick search on another forum and found where a person with a daughter that was a year or two younger said she was able to sign a waiver and attend the initial consultation so that her daughter could have a facial. This person booked this for her daughter when she got onboard, not in advance. There was a blurb in that thread that the spa cast had mentioned that less than half the spa appointments (not just the teen spa) are made available online prior to sailing. You may just have to run by the front desk when you get onboard to make that appointment for your daughter. Sounds like you got an early arrival so you should be able to have an earlier boarding group which will give you an advantage of sorts.

Last time my kids went to the adult spa (with no waver). They want to do it on the sea day though. Those are the times that tend to book up first. But, as you said, since I have an early boarding, maybe it will not be too bad.

Thanks

Did they have the teen spa areas on the other ships? I'm clueless. LOL! Seems like the pics I saw of the teen spa areas were more like massage/facial spaces, not the nail stations. I think the waiver and such probably is more for those touchy-feely treatments. That would make sense. Gee, if I was on your cruise I'd bring my junk and do the girls' mani/pedis for free. I like doing girly stuff like that but my boys aren't exactly receptive to such.

No, there were no teen spas on the other ships.

Maybe you are right about the touchy feely type stuff. Makes sense.

My youngest would spend every day getting her nails done if I let her. My oldest can take it or leave it. It depends on her mood. I am not doing any nails by the way :)
