Is there a way to fix the theming at DCA?? I love the attractions, but I really think that it doesn't feel enough like a real Disney experience. I'd especially love to know what a native Californian thinks of that "Real California" theme they are trying for. It just seems incohesive to me on my last visit. Had a great time, but I think they need to tie things together somehow.

The best way would be to tear it down and bring back the parking lot. That parking lot had better theming than the park who replaced it

I dunno if I agree - this was the view outside our suite at the Grand. Theming works for me!

I miss my parking lot :(

It also made more money than the park... lol

Right before Lasetter came aboard, there were plans for a "placemaking" project to sweep through DCA, and give it a 1920's/craftsman feel. I think that project's been scrapped in favor of new attractions however.

Was it John Hench who said he prefered the parking lot? Another of Eisners legicies....

Ahh someone who agrees with me. :D

I think I had a good discussion with darthjohnny and a few other members on the boards about the very same thing.

Just the carnival part needs to be revamped. Its too much like a fair or a Paramount park. Kind of cheapens the place. And I too have mixed reviews on the missing parking lot after having a room right across from the worlds largest parking garage.
