Does anyone know if the Grand Californian entrance to DCA is still limited to hotel guests only? I was hoping to do lunch at the new GCH Craftsman Bar but don't want to have to walk all the way back to the DCA entrance if we are not staying at the hotel.

I went to DCA a few weeks back and I was near the front of the crowd at rope drop, but then a humongous swarm of people from the hotel entrance cut us off as ee were let into the park. No way it was limited to hotel guests.

If you have legit business in the hotel, like a meal reservation, they'll let you in. Once you are in, they'll let you out through whichever exit you want to use. Including the DCA park entrance gate.

It's when you aren't staying in the hotel and you try to enter the hotel via the sidewalk or car off Disneyland Drive that they'll prevent you from entering.

But even the lowliest AP can walk into the Grand Californian via the Downtown Disney entranceway. And once you are in, they'll let you get out whichever way you want. Enjoy!
