Anyone know what's up with dc-torrents? It's down for me. Anyone else?

I checked a couple hours ago and got the same thing. First thing I did was come here and see if there was anything posted about it. I just checked back and still no website. Keep checking back here. A lot of people from the torrent site are regular posters here, and I'm sure somebody will say something about what happened. Hopefully it's something temporary and will be back up soon.

we had a name change .. www.dc-torrents.com will be redirected to www.mousebits.com (this adress already works ... but it'll take a day or two until the torrents work again) sorry for the trouble :wave:
Hey, no problem. I was just worried that we had a "Pirate Bay" situation with Disney lawyers contacting SirLamer or something. Glad to know it's still out there. I'll update my bookmark. Thanks, Dolbyman.
EDIT: Of course, I don't mean to compare SirLamer's site to Pirate Bay. Worlds of difference between the two. :lol:

no you will not have to redownload everything unless you deleted it off of you computer. you will just need to redownload the torrent. then the torrent should do a check to see if the file is there. if it is, then it will start to seed. if not, then your client will start to download it again. SirLamer posted a message on the site explaining why the change is being made. and disney + lawyers did come up.

I apologize for causing everyone all this worry! Our site has indeed moved to http://www.mousebits.com. Note that this time the server did not move, it is only a name change.
"Lawyers" were mentioned above, but I make it clear on the website that I only changed the name in anticipation of Disney challenging the use of their company's name in the site title - something I hadn't considered until recently. I decided to make the change now rather than waiting for the inevitable when we're only bigger. Unfortunately, my web hosts work way faster than I expected them to and my warning message appeared only for a couple hours.
I am working to have dc-torrents.com forward to the new site so that people without access to these and other forums don't get cut off. Also, I expect all the torrents to work like new again once that domain starts forwarding properly.
