All,
After being on these forums for just over a week and reading through all the posts, and advice (Thanks for all those that have helped)
I have a rough guide to 'how many days i would need at each park' to do everything....

Magic Kingdom - 2 days to see all
Animal Kingdom - 2
Blizzard Beach - 1
Epcot - 1
Hollywood Studios - 1
Typhoon Lagoon -1
Universal Studios - 2
Universal Islands of Adventure - 2
Volcano Bay - 1
Sea World - 1
Aquatica - 1
Busch Gardens - 1
I-Drive 360 - 1
Kennedy Space Centre - 1
Discovery Cove - 1
Legoland Florida - 1
Legoland Waterpark - 1

Total of 21 days

So, along with a planned rest day every week during my 3 week stay (i will need it as well as my 7yo), that totals 24 days.......as we will only be there for 21 days (20 with arrival/departure) can anyone give some well needed advice/thoughts please? I am planning of visiting some of the WDW parks in the evenings to cover some things we don't do/miss

Depends on what you want to see and do. I've done AK in one day without doing any of the shows or Expedition Everest. But with the opening of Pandora and the new night time entertainment it might be hard for someone that wants to see the shows and do most of the rides. I love Animal Kingdom and can easily spend 2 days there just enjoying the atmosphere and the animal trails.
I think my son would love the shows too, so therefore we would need more than 1 day

I’m going to throw some suggestions as possible alternatives to leaving Disney property as much.

Some of these include my child’s best memories of our trips-

Renting a personal watercraft and exploring Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon.

Mini golf.

Renting bikes and riding around.

Sitting at Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace and enjoying the atmosphere while chatting together.

Visiting Ft Wilderness, seeing the stables, playing checkers outside of the resort store.

Pool time.

Roasting marshmallows over a campfire at our resort.

Some of these cost additional money, some don’t. All of them are great quality time as well as time to decompress, and don’t require transportation off property. :)

For off property suggestions that haven’t been mentioned - Medieval Knights restaurant is a great experience.
We also absolutely love Fun Spot/Old Town...not as hectic as other Orlando parks, fun carnival atmosphere.

Thanks for this
Some great ideas
Would you know the rough price for each activity and which are complimentary please

The mini golf will be free for you, it's included in the U.K. tickets.
Fort Wilderness is a Disney resort, free to visit and look around. Activities like kayaking, archery etc would cost.
Renting watercraft and bikes again will cost. There are various places to do this, for example you could rent bikes at Wilderness Lodge and ride along the path to Fort Wilderness, you may see deer etc on the way!
The camp fires (and movie nights) are free and you can attend them at any resort.
