Day 1 of OKW

Ok, so I'm a Poly dweller. Stayed there the last 3 trips and still love it. Well, due to a great deal I ended up at old key west. I have had a great experience so far. Granted it's only one day, but the transportation and cast members I've encountered have been great. I've got 7 more days, so I'm hoping that it keeps on impressing.

Full disclosure-I am a hotel manager and have high expectations for workers of hotels and resorts. So job well done....so far.

I'll be there in four days. I've heard that the bus transportation (we'll probably use the bus for MK and drive the rest) can be slow and/or infrequent. I'd be interested in your impressions of the bus service if you have the time to write.

Looking forward to your entire report as we have wanted to stay at OKW, hopefully on the next 1 or 2 trips. Waiting 10 minutes for a bus? NOT BAD timing at all. Enjoy the rest of your stay.

OKW will not disappoint. It is one of the "hidden" gems at WDW resorts as well as its counterpart SSR. Both DVC resorts have so much to offer. Transportation was always great, especially the boat launches to DTD.

Glad to hear buses are on schedule, I will be there during Thanksgiving week wihout our own transportation and at the mercy of the WDW buses.

Just got back from a 2 week stay at old key west and I have to stay the hotel was amazing. Loved every minute of it was like being in paradise. Never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus, staff were always friendly all round fantastic hotel.

Staying there for the 2nd time the week after Thanksgiving! We can't wait to get back! The resort is so pretty, transportation is easy and fast, and we love the convenience to DTD! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!
