David's Vacations Rentals & tickets/fastpass

Hi, I am looking at different options for my trip for next year. I have been reading about dvc rentals like David's Vacation Rentals. Has anyone had experience with them? I read about them on mousesavers, so they must be good.

My other question is with booking. If I were to book a dvc rental and buy my tickets and memory maker on disney website, am I able to still book fastpass and dining reservations on the Disney website? Last time I booked everything through disney, so I booked it all with my room. Also, would I not get to personalize and receive my magic bands in advance of my trip? I am just debating to try the dvc rental or book again through disney. Thanks in advance!

Dining Reservation - you DO NOT need any sort of accommodation booking to make ADRs - just a credit card to which $10 per person can be charged if you don't cancel and don't show.
Fast Pass - As long as you get the Ticket serial number which can then be linked to your MDE then you can make your FP reservations at 30 days

They can book FP+ at 60 days because they would be staying onsite. DVC rental still can be linked to MDE account once they get their confirmation/reservation number etc. Also they will be able to do 180+10 for dining reservations if staying onsite eventhough it is a DVC rental as well. Same as booking directly with Disney and the only difference is the owner of the points you are renting had to book it for you and add any dining plan etc for you and you cannot add any extras yourself like if you book directly. You can of course like mentioned buy your tickets on your own for the parks if you like and link to your MDE account.
As long as your tickets and your room (DVC rental) is linked to your MDE you can do the 60 day ahead FP and 180+10 dining reservations online/phone yourself like usual.
Memory maker would work with everything as well as long as it is linked on your MDE account. You will have the options to personalize magic bands also once your resort reservation is linked to MDE. In a nutshell everything is the same as booking direct except you are not booking and David's/owner of points is booking the room and optional dining plan for you. :) (you do not have to have the dining plan to do your dining reservations either as it had nothing to do with booking dining).

We use dvcrentalstore.com and have never had any issues with them and/or linking it to our MDE account. In fact, once they have received our deposit, it has been linked to our account; I have never had to go in and link it.

Same thing with David's as long as they have your correct email for your MDE account it usually shows up right away, etc once the owner books it. If he buys his memory maker and tickets directly from Disney with that account it will show up automatically too. On rare occassions you have to add manually, and of course if you don't buy your park tickets from Disney you have to manually enter it. David's and DVCRENTALSTORE.com are the two top company's used to rent points. :)

Cool! Thanks for the clarification! We have always booked everything through disney, and are interested in looking into DVC rental this time! :)
Your very welcome! Yes we were the same way we always booked through Disney directly even though we always stayed in DVC villas and just used the current room discount etc. Then once we figured out the math of what we were spending we joined DVC in May 2013. Renting is another great option if you do not want to join DVC and stay in the DVC rooms as its cheaper than booking direct usually. :)
