Dated based tickets with park and non park hoppers.

Hello all hopefully someone can answer this quicker than a call into Disney. I have a 5 day ticket with park hopper and i want to buy a one day ticket without park hopper for the middle of our trip. We won't be in the park till later in the day and no need for park hopper. Knowing that ticket is date based will that day actually pull from the date based ticket or the one with 5 days. Or does that ticket really need to be at the end of the trip. Thanks in advance.

Why on Earth would you want to do that? That's going to be a lot more expensive than just adding a day to your 5 day ticket and making it a 6 day ticket.

Because I have a 4 days from a no expire ticket that is left. So it can not be upgraded.

You should be able to exchange that old 4-day ticket for an equivalent 4-day hopper ticket. Then upgrade that ticket with an extra day.
