Deep in the forest lies a mysterious manor long forgotten by time and reclaimed by nature.

Yet despite its dismal state, something strange seems to be occurring here, for it beckons to you. A letter arrives at your doorstep.

“You are cordially invited to the Mansion of Mysteries. If you wish to attend, please await further instruction. If you do not wish to attend, ignore, but this will be your final invitation.”

There is no return address, no name, nothing. All it says at the bottom is

“More Information: March 30th”

You awaken from your slumber, it was an uneasy one, full of tossing and turning, feeling as though someone... or something... was watching you as you attempted to sleep.

As you prepare for your day, the feeling of being watched never quite leaves, prompting you to turn to your desk, noting something strange. In the spot you had left your invitation for that strange manor, something you must've forgotten to throw out, sits a new note, and with it, a puzzle.

The note reads "Though your choice may not have been made, to make this choice you still have plenty of days. Yet should your curiosity pique, this puzzle contains answers you should seek." The puzzle attached sits, unsolved, and beckons to you. What mysteries should unfold if you solve this puzzle? What is the meaning of this all? The note only contains one other small piece of information.

"Though the full reveal is on the 28th, I have plenty of games to play. I shall deliver them day by day, for you to solve in your own way."

Will you solve this puzzle and begin to unravel what may be happening? If so, the puzzle sits below.

Just to narrow it down, does the second word start with the syllable "biblio-"?

The puzzle solved, you set it back down on the desk. Anthropodermic bibliopegy, what does it mean? A cursory Google search causes a chill to run down your back, the binding of a book in human skin. But why? Why deliver such a strange answer to a puzzle? You push the thought to the back of your head; and continue your day.

Your drive into work is unspectacular, besides the strange thought of a skin-bound book tapping at your consciousness the whole time. As you pull into the parking lot of your job and make your way over to the punch-in-clock, you hear a familiar throat clearing and turn to see your boss. You quickly check the time clock, but you’re not late. How are you not late? Certainly, you’re late with all that puzzling, but somehow you aren’t. You double-check on your phone and the clock on the wall, but all read at the same time. Peculiar.

Your boss informs you a package was left for you overnight and is waiting in their office. You hang your coat and follow your boss, confused about what this package could be. A reward for a job well done, perhaps. They open the door and on your boss’s desk sits a box lined with golden trimming over its rich mahogany wood paneling. The box seems to be hand-crafted and is among the most ornamental pieces you’ve seen. A golden lock with a code needing to be entered adorns the face of the box. Bundled up in the locking portion of the code lock is a piece of rolled parchment tied up with a red piece of string.

You approach the box, gently sliding your hands along its surface, taking in how well-crafted this box was, someone put a lot of time into it. You examine the code, it’s long, longer than you’ve ever seen, and it's jumbled enough that no coherent pattern can be made out. You see the parchment and reach for it, unfurling it in your hand as the ink reveals itself and the story that it tells. The handwriting is the same and you let out a sigh of relief? Of fear? Of inquiry? You’re not quite sure, but you gaze down at the nonsense written on it and discover a new puzzle.

The note reads “You must have a code to open this box, for it has no key and no other locks. You can find this code somewhere near, check the new things around here. When I say this, I make no jokes, to get the code, you must find a hoax.”

Perplexed, you place the parchment down. “New? Hoax?” You ponder, focusing on those two words specifically. You question it well into the day. But can you find the code? Now is your chance to do so. Use your hints and think hard on it. To unlock the box you must find the code word.

Answer (I forgot how to do that box thing):
Is it RunForestRun?
A good guess, and like Ace, on the right track, but unfortunately incorrect
Jackalope?
Another fine guess, but those jackalopes were put as a false herring. Look closer to where this thread is, particularly somewhere NEW
