Our Path Ends Here…

It is time to announce our final three, the survivors of the Manor who will compete to become the champion of it all. But first, we must go down memory lane as we thank all of our players up to this point.

13th Place
@Muppetsfan#1

Muppetsfan came in guns blazing in the beginning of the game, but between a competitive spirit and less engaging prompts, they chose to exit the game first. However, despite this exit, we thank Muppetsfan for joining us!

12th Place
@Tegan pilots a chicken

Tegan joined the game a bit late, but quickly made her name known as a very prominent player. Unfortunately due to life changes, Tegan had to exit the game, but we sincerely wish her well!

11th Place
@Chaos Cat

Chaos Cat had the distinct honor of being the first player in a comp (to my knowledge) to make it as many rounds as they did without contributing! That said, we thank Chaos Cat for the chaos you brought to the manor!

10th Place
@Mr. Tux

Mr. Tux was a valuable player to his team and offered a lot of great ideas. Unfortunately, it seemed life caught up to him and he chose to make his exit from the manor. We thank Mr. Tux for playing and his contributions to the game.

9th Place
@MonorailRed

MonorailRed played a strong early game, but vanished mid game to not resurface. We hope all is well! That said, MonorailRed has the distinct position of being the only player actually eliminated pre-merge.

8th Place
@spacemt354

Following veteran player MonorailRed was fellow veteran player Space. Space brought his famous leadership and creativity to the game, but as life got busy, made the choice to exit the game to spare his more active team from elimination. Thank you space for playing!

7th Place
@OSUPhantom

OSU was a very strong player throughout the game and made for a great teammate and someone that all the judges enjoyed watching. Unfortunately, like so many others before him, OSU made the choice to exit the game. Thank you OSU for playing.

6th Place
@TheOriginalTiki

Tiki made it as far as the merge, but due to real life challenges, chose to exit just as it was wrapping up, giving him the sixth place just outside the top five. That said, Tiki was a strong player who brought his famous passion and hard work into all the prompts and we thank you for playing!

And now we come to the present… Five players remain but only three can advance. Dim the lights…

@Miru

Miru has played a very strong game thus far, despite some tumultuous challenges with teammate based on your specific interests and your desire to include them where they may or may not have fit. That said, you deserved your top five spot for being consistently available and active as well as working very very hard alongside your teams. Thank you for playing and best of luck in future games!

And now, four remain. With @ThemeParkPriest locked in already, three players fight for the final two slots. With that, dim the lights again…

@Pi on my Cake

Pi was a late addition to the game, but quickly came in and became a crucial team member to insert some energy as other players fell. Pi’s efforts should be commended, but as only three can advance, we appreciated Pi’s sentiments that the top three should be those in it since the beginning, so with that, Pi takes fourth place.

To our top three, your prompt will be posted soon. To the rest of our players throughout the game, a sincere thank you for participating and making this game what it was!

The final three stand, excitedly within the grand ballroom. They’ve advanced this far, they’ve survived the perils of the Manor of Mysteries. Only one challenge remains between them and victory. And yet, the room feels eerily quiet and still, not the lively and exuberant celebration it was expected to be. No, it’s an eerie silence.

“I thought getting to top three would be more exciting,” @AceAstro said, looking over their shoulder.

“Yeah, what’s up with this atmosphere here?” Questions @Architectural Guinea Pig

Suddenly, the room before them begins to burn. Bright orange and yellow flames fill the room, the smoke rising as each player flinches to avoid the heat, covers their mouth and eyes to protect against the smoke, but they soon realize, there is none. The flames are clear as day, burning everything around them, yet no heat emits, no smoke either. Simply the aura of fire all around them.

“What is going on?” Questions @ThemeParkPriest, but before his questions could be answered, the floral wallpaper of the room crumbles to ash, revealing the epitaphs of their fallen comrades. Their faces chiseled into the now bare stone walls, each terrified in what appears to be their final moments of fear.

Suddenly, a skeletal figure emerges from the flames.

“Greetings final three,” @Dark PerGron says. “You have all fought so hard to get here and of that, you should be proud. Yet, as you look around in what was once our grand ballroom, you now see it is instead a great stone mausoleum. Those epitaphs and carvings of your friends and teammates are very real. No, they are not gone forever, simply trapped in their stone tombs, begging for freedom. But only one of you may free them. Only one of you may complete the final challenge and be declared victorious. Only one of you may take my place here as headmaster of this horrid mansion, to free me of my burden just as you will free them. With this, I introduce to you, my compatriots.”

The two hooded figures seen so many times before emerge, their figure terrifying and large. Both creep closer, peeling their hoods back to reveal… nothing. No face, no hands, nothing.

“These spirits, those bound to this manor, have been begging for their freedom, just as I have, just as your dear friends have. This manor tortures us with imprisonment as it has for millennia. Yet one of you could be the one to free us. All it takes is a victory. All it takes is a sacrifice…With this, I present to each of you, a final challenge. I leave you to your devices now, one final time.”

With this, all the life in the room vanishes, only the cold stone faces of the fallen remain, staring down at the final three as they await their final challenge…

Oh joy of being, I have ”Matchmaker, Matchmaker” in my head and I don't like Fiddler On The Roof! Thanks for the Monaco representation, though. Monaco gets, like, zero love in the armchair imagineering world, but you did it!
