Dance kids scammed out of their Disney vacation

That's not the way your post came across. Further if they were indeed wealthy how do you know they didn't pay cash?

So, your question is , "how do you know they didn't they pay cash?". I think the answer is in the article that a few parents paid with credit cards and as it turns out, Mrs. Adkins played a large part.

The really sad part for me is that I know the two that own(ed) Blue Sky Travel. In fact, Swoap is a former Imagineer!

I know Ann Carrol as well...my girlfriend is a dancer/choreographer in the area as well and they know each other well so we had been following this disaster for a while.

I'm just glad they didn't completely lose their trip. I just hope Swoap and his wife are made accountable.

This is a bit of an over reaction. I agree that the statement of where they are from is not really necessary or relevant, but to call it a terrible comment, or pathetic is frankly just as bad when you look at the intention of the statement.

Well, when I first read the comment, I took it as being very snarky. Perhaps had the poster worded it differently, people wouldn't have taken it in the way several of them (myself included) did.

A long-dead thread that suddenly comes back to life, and possibly eats your brains (when there is no clear indication as to why it has come back to life coughthisthreadcough.

I sat and wondered about that for a while, lol. Then I gave up.

And I thought I'd stayed in all the WDW hotels except AoA. They've been holding out on me!

I'd like to stay in The Spare Hotel.
its the HTH... just dont use the main elevator bank.

Best part of the whole article:

“I very rarely hear of an incident like this,” Ricky Brigante of Inside the Magic, a website reporting exclusively on Disney company and theme parks news, told Yahoo! Shine. “In fact, I don't remember ever hearing about such a large dollar amount being scammed like that.”

Apparently he tracks fraud now?!? Nothing against him, but why is a supposedly legit news source asking a blogger these kinds of questions?

Inside the Magic collaborating with Yahoo! News. Great recipe for ________ <----(insert synonyms for stupidity here) mostly due to Yahoo! News, nothing against Inside The Magic
