To be honest, I severely doubt they canned the To Honor America float because TDA and Burbank no longer wanted to celebrate American exceptionalism (which I believe does currently exist, and has existed since at least World War I).
I honestly don't think TDA and Burbank are that organized, because I just listened to the Ballad of Davy Crockett on their corporate hold music a couple weeks ago. Nor do I think they are that un-patriotic, or think America is no different than North Korea or Argentina or Kuwait.
What I honestly think led to that change was they wanted to can the float that had the most dancers attached to it. As you'll notice the new Finale' float has no dancing Minutemen Girls, or dancers of any kind. It's just the floats. Instant labor savings and big money pocketed by Chapek! They just cut out one dozen dancers! Cha-ching!
It's just a shame that the LA Times writer was pushing his own political agenda, instead of following the real story here worthy of a little journalism. Because there is a story about cutting labor costs and live performers, but the LA Times writer was too stupid to get out of his own head to see it. Idiot.![Roll Eyes  ](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f644.png)
