Daily budget for food?

What do you all recommend as a daily budget for food? Not including breakfast because that's taken care of at the hotel but lunch, snacks and dinner? I think we are most likely going to eat at counter services or outside the park since anything sitdown in the parks take such a long time :P Thanks in advance everyone!!

Well, depends how many people are in your party, what their ages are, etc.

I budget $22 per counter service meal for my family (2 adults meals and 2 child meals).

I meant as in per person but there are 6 people and with the exception of one 16 year old we are all 21 years and older.

Did you mean $22 as a family or $22 a person?

Thanks!

For a party of 6 "adults" you'll probably want to budget at least $50 (for the whole group) per fast food meal. And probably around $30 for the whole group to get a snack. A sit down meal will most likely cost you between $150-$200 for the group. Hope that helps!

Your average counter service meal combo (sandwich and fries) is between $6-7. Some larger entrees top the $10 mark. Soft drinks are $2-3. Snacks can be $2-5.

So 2 meals, 3 drinks, and a snack each day will be roughly $25-ish?

1st I would have you check out http://www.allearsnet.com. This link will have all the prices for all the restaurant's in WDW. For my family (13yr daughter, 4yr daughter, my wife, and I) I always figure it this way on average.

Breakfast- We always packed pop-tarts etc.

lunch- counter service around 11 am- $40

dinner- nice sit-down- $65

Also, we are DVC members, so a lot of the times we will have groceries delivered and eat a couple of "cheap" meals in our room.

Also, don't forget about priority seatings (or whatever they call these days). They really save you a lot of time all over WDW, not just in the parks.

I say MYW+ Dining. $35 a day and that's all. Since you aren't worried with beeakfast, it's really perfect. You should look into that.
Since breakfast is being provided by their hotel, I'm guessing they are not staying at a disney resort and would not be eligible for the MYW + Dining option.

We have 2 adults and 1 child and we plan for $25 for lunch and $50 for dinner a day (Plus breakfast which you have covered). Plus you want to throw in $20 or so for snacks and such. The magic your way plus dining would be the best way to go, but it sounds like you are staying off property.

yes, i am staying off property so the dining thing won't really work for me.

but i'm going with friends and we're all pretty much responsible for our own budget so i was trying to figure out how much money i should bring per day for food.

thanks for all the info everyone. i'll definitely check out allearsnet.com too.
