D23 - what are you hoping for?

With the D23 expo coming in just 3 months, what are you guys hoping will get announced or what we'll get to see progress-wise?


Personally, I'm hoping for the Star Wars announcements we know we want, an update on Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, and lastly an update on Avatar Land.

I'm hoping D23 will designate someone as Steven Clark used to be to serve as the face of the club to respond to member inquiries.

I'm hoping D23 will be given its own staff separate and apart from the Disney Store to register memberships and renewals and process orders for attendance at events.

I'm hoping D23 will return to sending thoughtful member gifts with the quarterly magazines and never repeat the Winter 2014 gift of a discount on hair product as the member gift.

Oh, the expo? I hope those members who go will have a good time and feel they were able to attend the events that interest them and not be shut out due to limited capacity.

I too am hoping for an update on Avatar land and a big star wars announcement! Maybe we'll get lucky this year and get something substantial

I just want an announcement in general about what will be happening at DHS as well as any changes at EPCOT. And... as @rockergonecrazy said an update on current projects such as AvatarLand.

All I am really looking for is an announcement of a new star wars spinner ride (or frozen), 1 new quick service and 3 new DVC kiosks. This way I have the least chance of being disappointed with what they actually announce.

I really don't have high expectations for the D23 Expo from a WDW viewpoint when it comes to the Theme Park and resorts presentations. It boils to the rumors about the DHS version of Star Wars land not opening before 2020 or 2021 and I don't see Disney announcing anything Star Wars from WDW as a result.

I figure there is going more details on the Frozen ride in Epcot and Avatar for DHS along with a Soarin update. I think it is very iffy for a Pixar expansion being announced for DHS since Toy Story Midway Mania Expansion isn't going to be completed.

Surely someone has to ask Iger why the lack of investment at Disney at Orlando, why no new attractions. Why that one man has single handedly ruined my vacation holiday. And when will he resign.
