Via The Disney Parks Blog today:

Attendees to the Expo, from August 19–21 at the Anaheim Convention Center, just across the street from Disneyland Resort, will be able to visit the “Carousel of Projects,” a pavilion that pays loving homage to a favorite classic Disney Parks attraction: “Carousel of Progress.” Inside, guests will get a sneak peek at what’s in store for Disney’s five resorts around the world, as well as what’s next from Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club and more. There will be figures, props and ride vehicles from Radiator Springs Racers – plus a look behind the scenes and the creation of Cars Land, as well as concepts, models and plans for the tremendous expansion of Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney World Resort.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs will offer guests a glimpse at some of the biggest projects currently in development at Disney Parks (along with a few surprises!) during his presentation on Friday, Aug. 19.

Just adding to the hype :drevil: :p

Interesting, but given Disney's recent track record of announcing "surprises" and "projects," I think I'll hold my excitement til later. Seeing how so much of that little press release revolved around Carsland and FLE, I'd be shocked to see something groundbreaking announced.

Uh, you can't talk about a surprise in a press release except mentioning it as a surprise. That kind of would, you know, kill the surprise.

Well themed churro cart.... remember, this is a surprise!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe we'll see the next gen DVC carts... Press a button and the DVC comes to you....

LOL... Just sit back and relax people.... don't over think this... see what Disney announces, just keep expectations low... Do not expect new rides to be announced... If a new ride, or rides are announced, don't expect to ever see it built.. Remember, nothing with Disney is official until the official opening...

Well... the last" surprise" announcement was the Tiki Room refurbishment at Dest. D. Of course the Disney internet community knew about it for quite some time. Getting harder and harder to keep things quiet in the age of Twitter.

I would be shocked if I actually get "surprised" by the "surprise."

Here is to hoping that I'm wrong.
