This is better than Harry Potter. LOOK AT THAT THING!

This is a more impressive focused effort than anything any park competitor has built. It is basically Pandora grafted onto Diagon Alley with two headliners.

As a package though Diagon Alley and Hogsmead are extremely impressive, but comparing two discrete lands to one is apples and oranges. Same problem with comparing a full park like TDS to a land.

I'm fully satisfied, if individuals would rather wallow in misery that's their prerogative. Selfishly they've catered to my wishes. Personally I cannot wait.

Still doesn't look like an environment I'd want to go to! It looks...out of scale with the rest of the park? I think the argument was made a while back that it's like a Tokyo DisneySea uber land being dumped in the quintessentially charming classic Disneyland. It's insanely huge and detailed, but that's not really Disneyland.

Right. I just can't. And honestly I'm sick of IP-based lands in general.

"Weirdos"? That's a bit of a stretch plus D23 is tame compared to Comic Con or any anime convention.

Says the person posting in a Stars Wars thread about a land they don't want to visit.

Methinks you two aren't aware of Kira's style.

I was only comparing to the Hollywood HP version since that's the only version I've been to. I think I just realized what was missing in Harry Potter Hollywood. Trees/landscaping, etc. Come to think of it, are there any trees in Universal Studios Hollywood?

Oh Hollywood...

Sorry yes that's a big meh next to Orlando. I personally would recommend people visit the other coast for Potter.

We're going against the status quo not wanting to see this. Everyone at D23 is having an orgy around this model. It's one of 3,721 reasons why I could never do one of these cons.

True dat. But hey, that's one or two less people crowding the area and queues once this thing opens.

The Expo is just way too crowded for me, and I'm not one to have the patience to wait for hours and hours in lines for things. For me to do that, it would have to be for something rare. But power to those who do enjoy the Expo.

Dumb Question here, so Star Tours is or is not moving to this land? Will it still be in Tomorrowland post SWL opening?

Star Tours will not go into the new land. The Millennium Falcon ride is a much better space flight simulator. One or two years after SWL is completed and Star Tours has had a chance to soak up the extra Star Wars frenzy and featured the last planet scene from Ep 9, it will either be rethemed, moved, or demolished.
