Followed by an exclusive add on for a Halloween event that will cost $100 a head to get the last rides?

Jesus, this is just sad.

Getting a ticket was much easier than expected (unlike Magic & Merriment last year).

And I see they're still available. Either Star Tours doesn't have as many fans as I thought or the enthusiasm for D23 events is waning. Or it could be a combination of both. I'm surprised that the Destination D event has not sold out yet either. Tickets go on sale Monday for the Sip and Stroll. Last year there was only 37 attendees...let's see if there is a demand for it this year!

I got my ticket for the last flight! :sohappy: I think it took longer than expected to sell out because 1. there aren't as many D23 members in the Orlando area and 2. because it's on a Tuesday, which makes it harder for a lot of people to be able to attend on such short notice.

As far as Sip and Stroll, I'm seriously thinking of going. My thinking is the more people show interest in the D23 events then the more events we'll get....who knows though. It does seem to be a fun event and I've never done a special viewing for Illuminations so I'm kinda excited for that.

Be sure to follow up after the event with the details.

What I don't get is why the DHS version is still even running through Labor Day weekend? Don't they have rehab work to do???

The Disneyland version of Star Tours closed over a month ago, and the thing was immediately torn apart and is in heavy construction mode. A peek through the construction walls with flooring torn out to the bare dirt, ceiling dismantled, scaffolding up all over the queue, etc...

I'd love to hear the reason why the Disneyland version got a six week head start on this long rehab, when it only has 4 Starspeeders instead of the 6 Starspeeders the larger DHS version of the ride has. How will the DHS version make up for that time once its rehab finally starts in September?

I'm told the DHS bays are easier to access and have fewer complications than the DL install. I also understand that on opening day, not all the DHS bays will be ready (expected 5 out of the 6 will be done).

Makes sense, seeing that that ST at DHS is in a custom built facility, while the DL version was crammed into the existing ATIS building. Weird that they would want to cut capacity when they first open, especially with Star Wars Weekends.
