D23 Expo Guide Book

All info thus far points to not much of anything on display at D23 Expo for WDW, except for the Star Tours 2.0 clone of course.

Disney has said that large models of the new rides and expansion land coming to DCA in 2010-12 will be on display at D23 Expo, so there's a big chunk of the exhibit space.

Hall B is 150,000 square feet, and Disney Parks takes up half of that. 75,000 square feet is the size of a large, modern supermarket in the suburbs. That's a big display about theme parks!

Exactly. Disneyland doesn't have THAT much stuff going on (does it?) to take up all 75,000 square feet. Hence, some of that area must be devoted to WDW (at least I'd like to think).

Hey, we can dream, right? :lookaroun

Certainly it's not all Anaheim, although a big chunk of it will be. The expansion of Hong Kong Disneyland will be featured as well. Plus Hawaii, the new cruise ships, and maybe the new development outside Washington DC.

Unless they really surprise us with a big model of WDW's New Fantasyland project or something, it looks like the primary feature will be the DCA exhibits, followed by Hong Kong, followed by Hawaii and DC, and with smaller mentions of the properties in WDW, Paris and Tokyo.

Looks like Saturday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. PT is when announcements will happen.
I have the ability to be online, then. WOW. Should be interesting.
Thanks for posting this- what an amazing event! I wish they would have one in Orlando soon!
That would be awesome, and quite helpful for D23's image.
Look at Page 5 of that guide! Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has a HUGE exhibit space.

I attend events at the Anaheim Convention Center regularly, and the three exhibit halls they have combined for D23 are massive. But I'm amazed that Parks & Resorts is taking up just over half of Hall B!

That is going to be a giant, unprecedented display of current and future Parks & Resorts projects! I'm going on Friday, and I can't wait! I was originally only going to spend a couple hours at this thing, but now I may need the whole day.
:D:sohappy:

That is a VERY, VERY good sign. Let's see if they use it now...;)

DCA models, models+concept art of old attractions, space for new attractions, Shanghai Disneyland, a couple of old WDW models and concept art, + Tokyo/Paris/Hong Kong representation + Hawaiian beach resort model. Then don't forget DVC area and Adventures by Disney. It's really not a whole lot of space.
