D/L Space Mnt. Emrgcy. Track Lighting is On!

For everyone looking for an update for D/L Space Mountain, here it is.....

Today I got a report that they had the emergancy lighting "turned ON" that is attached to the walkways.... SPACE MOUNTAIN is ALIVE!!! partally

There are still 2 big holes in the mountian side where they loaded/unloaded the track. Welders are still going to town however, no track has been sighted for a few weeks now.

My "contact" said on "cast TV" Space Mtn. will be completed sometime this January however, ride testing, adjusting over 140 different EFX etc...will take the other 6/7 months.

New load/unload station theming but, it was said on "Cast TV"that WDI will re-build Space Mtn. as if they were building it for the first time.

great update... if only for one day they would have a tech. rehursal with half of the effects not working... and let me ride it on july 17 or 18th all day long and tell then whats wrong and right....

but that may never happen....

You know, one of my roommates actually REFUSES to go to DL until they complete that and reopening it? LOL I wonder how many visitors are out there like that who will FLOCK to DL once it's up and running again next year.

Moral of the story: There is never a "good" time for Space Mountain to close.

Space Mountain

I have been out of the news loop for a while, but have they decided what they are going to do with Space Mountain? I heard a few rumors that it is going to get a total make over and be modeled after the Paris SM. Another rumor is that it will be overhauled and turned into "Stitch Mountian." I was just curious if anyone knew anything different/more.

this is going to have the same route as it has, which is the same layout going in at hong kong.... They are jazzing it up with more up to date special effects... (will they keep the cookie??)

I have heard the cookie / soccer ball was taken out. I kind of hope it returns just for nostalgia's sake.
