When we took a trip to Disney in 2,011 our daughter was 4 at the time. We went to Epcot and were waiting for Illuminations to start. We were talking to a couple of other people when our daughter looked up and said "Oh look, a hidden Mickey. We all looked up to see clouds overhead that looked like a Mickey Mouse head. Lol.

Does anyone have any cute, fun, silly, stories to share about doing Disney with children? First experience with a favorite character, ride, etc. Or it could be any extra fun, cute, silly, experience you've had with kids in the parks.

I have a number of stories, but one of my favorites was from 2011. We were on SSE...it was DD6's 5th bday...and I was still on this high from pulling off my first WDW surprise trip. We got to the part towards the end where you see the earth as it would be seen from space...DD6 grabbed my arm and said something like "Whoaaa, mommy!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I've always wanted to go into space, and you took me into space. I've never been in space before...and now I have! Thank you for taking me into space!!!!"

We'd eventually come to find out that the girls were this naive about all of the rides...i.e. that we were really being fired at in PotC, the ghots in HM are real, etc. So, she really truly thought she'd been transported to space by riding SSE. :)

My four-year-old daughter asked me, last time we were in Disney World, where our boloneys were. I asked her why she thought we should have some, and she replied with some urgency, "Well, every time we get off the Disney bus to the Magic Kingdom, they say, 'Gather your baloneys and take small children by the hand.' I just wondered where our baloneys were."

I explained that the announcement was instructing us to gather our belongings, and we had a good laugh. "Gather your baloneys" became a catch phrase we used for the rest of the vacation. :)

Oh plenty. One of my favorites was from last year. When we decided to take my then 3 yr old son on Norway. I was a little skeptical anyway of the ride because of the troll but my husband swore it would be alright. We got in line behind this mom and her two kids both teachers. And they happened to be from VA-as are we-My son I suppose liked the girl, whose name was Rhonda, a kindergarten teacher. He started talking to her immediately, even if she was an 'older' lady. They talked through the entire que and he had her rolling. Anyway when we rolled up to the front of the line, the girl asked if we could be put with them as she wanted to be with my son....she turned to him and asked him if he was going to be brave and he said.

'Don't worry Rhonda I got this!.' The entire ride she kept looking at him, and checking on him and as we exited the ride she turned to him and said well what did you think?

'I was brave for you Rhonda, I told you I had it...'

I always remind my dd that Mickey is doing the ghost things on the huh behind the scenes. So when she gets a little frightened or something she always says oh that Mickey can't scare me.

Wow, I hope my DS4 is as unafraid on Maelstrom. Because he got scared by a troll on a dark ride at another park (not in Orlando) when he was three. He still remembers it, and because it was one where you ride in a boat, I'm worried he's going to be wary of all the dark rides with boats.

We had a great moment at DL a month ago. My son is 1.5 and crazy over Pooh. We rode the ride a billion times and at one point, I ride with him while my husband went on Splash which is right across from it. After the ride, we walked through gift shop and I ended up getting him a big Pooh plush. We found a spot facing the exit of Splash and I let him sit and he was hugging and kissing his toy yelling "Pooh!!!" What I didn't know was where we were sitting was where the characters swapped in and out for the Pooh meet and greet next door. A big fluffy yellow hand appeared next to my son and as he was hugging his doll smiling "Pooh!" he looked up, eyes as big as dinner plates and yelled "POOH!!" He tossed the toy to the ground and hauled after Pooh who blew him a kiss and was walking away. It was the cutest moment I've ever had at any Disney Park.

My DD fave food is eggs, especially boiled eggs. On our flight to WDW last year the head steward was a man. As he was welcoming us to the flight and doing his announcements over the PA system, he casually said "I'm the one with the bald head". My DS punched the air with his fist and said "Yes!"
When we asked why he said "that man just said we are having boiled eggs".
Oh how we laughed.

This hasn't happened at WDW but my 2 yr DD whenever she sees Elsa from FROZEN she calls her " Let it go" well she actually screams it. Not sure if we will have a chance to meet them when we go next week as i was unable to get FP and i don't plan on spending 3 hours in line either. LOL but i would love to see what she would do if she saw her in person.
