MIDDLE (of the) / NIGHTMiddle / age
Just got around to reading the rules. Question... Couldn't Lucy / Sky, work and then Sky / Blue? George / Jungle, then Jungle / Cruise?2 word posts are preferred...but 3 words are ok if you are using a connecting word ( i.e. "of" or "the" )
Examples:
*
poster # 1 enters: hot / day
poster # 2 responds: day / job
poster # 3 responds: day / night
poster #4 responds: night/ game
poster #5 responds: game / thread
poster #6 responds: game / score

So....you can cut the 1st word and replace it with your own word.....
or......
you can cut the 2nd word and replace it with your own word.
As long as your new post includes one of the previous post's words you are good to go.
Re. using 3 words for a post, here is an example:
Poster A: Jar of Hearts
Poster B: Hearts of Gold
Stuff like that....we'll let three words slide

Edit: Although I'm not big on "rules", I do request that posters avoid using people's names as an answer.
Here's how it could happen:
Base / Line
*
*
Base / Ball
*
*
(Lucille)Lucy / Ball
*
*
Linus / Lucy
*
*
Hmmm. Now we are stuck.
*
*
*
Another example:
King / Crab
*
*
King / George
*
*
George / Clooney
.................................Hmmm, now we are stuck.
btw, years ago I had more than one game that was based on names. "Anything Tom, Thomas, Tommy"
Another game was "Anything Susan, Sue, Suzy, etc"
Those were popular for about 3 months then it got old hat and kind of fizzled out.
Yes sir. Those examples work. IF a name is used it CAN work...IF the person who posts a name thinks ahead to what the next person might post....as you clearly did in the examples you presented. Yet if a name is posted and then the "2nd poster" adds another name...like in my OP examples...well that's what I hope to avoid.Just got around to reading the rules. Question... Couldn't Lucy / Sky, work and then Sky / Blue? George / Jungle, then Jungle / Cruise?

Bit of a stretch there, but since you created the game, I'll accept it. If the inventor can't take poetic license, who can!Quest / shun

My students say: "Excuse me, I have a quest shun"
Again I'm really glad to have you here...but I disagree that Quest / Shun is a "bit of a stretch".Bit of a stretch there, but since you created the game, I'll accept it. If the inventor can't take poetic license, who can!
