current stroller prices

I was wondering if anyone that has been to WDW recently could tell me if stroller prices have increased? we were there early summer of '02 and if I remember right a single was $10 and a double $15? Does this sound right? normally we have brought our own but this trip our baby will be nearly 4 so we are thinking of just renting so we don't have to deal with hauling ours down to Florida (we are driving from Illinois). But then the thought of spending up to $150 on stroller rental fees really bothers me. any opinions on this subject?

Thanks for the quick response! I like the idea of just renting one on an as needed basis and not packing one, and if we go with the single, then its only $80 so I suppose if it makes like easier then its worth it.

:) Why not just buy one of the less expensive umbrella srtollers?? ( $10.00-$20,00 ?) if you do not need it after your visit maybe you can give it to another guest? ( I heard of someone doing that on this site after their trip ended )

The only problem with the rentals are: they are very hard if your child needs to sleep, and the most important-- at least it was for us-- You have to leave it at the gate-- If your child is tired/ sleeping it is kind of hard to get to the bus'.

Little ones can rally get heavy on that long walk at Epcot-- MK etc. and then to the room.:lookaroun Just a thought-- Have fun!!

We did talk about that last night, buying one, as we will be stopping at Wal-Mart and buying a minifridge, and then at the end of the trip find some other resort guest checking in to give it off to. That will be cheaper than renting a minifridge for 10+ days. I think though if we buy a stroller and leave it behind as well we would be buying one thats about $40 or so, as I will have a child size backpack for handiwipes, sunblock, autograph books, camera, film, fruit snacks and asprin! Either way, I think that will be the best option because I want to travel lightly in the van from Illinois and our stroller is large and takes up a good portion of the "trunk" space.
