Unless missed, hard to believe no gloom&doomer has added that if you want to not be soaked, do not buy any WDW park tickets.

The best soakage is when you're sitting in the front and all you see is a "wall of water" come right at you on the big drop. If you get a sprinkling, it's not worth it. And Kali River Rapids? YES PLEASE!!!! If I'm not drenched after that ride, then I'm back in line to do it again. Both SM and KRR are faves! An equivalent for you Universal IoA fans? Dudley Do-Right Ripsaw Falls and Jurassic Park. Enjoy the soakage kids!

Not the day we got soaked. 11:00 am soaked on the ride and even with Florida sun wasn't fully dry when I got back to the room at 7:00 pm

Wet yes but thoroughly soaked no!! A thorough soaking on Splash and KRR are why we won't ride them.

You must've spent most of your time in the A/C shops/restaurants and/or shade. I can get soaked on KRR, stay in the sun for about an hour, and be drier than I was when I got off the ride. Then, usually about 2 hours later, I'm dry.

I have not been able to get my wife on Splash Mountain since she suffered a severe drenching in 2008! We will be there again in three weeks, and I wanted to get an idea of the most recent level of wetness, which I know adjusts from time to time. Thanks!

You know the best option is to stop at a Dollar Tree before you go and buy a cheap disposable poncho. You can't depend on seating or anything else to avoid getting wet a lot of it is simply random. I've ridden it 3 times the same day before and was in first 1 or 2 seats each time and on one ride I didn't get more than a minor squirt of water, another was pretty average, but the everything lined up on one that completely drenched me.... a lot of it is just timing of where you are in relation to when the water shoots out and you can't account for that. But a poncho will keep her pretty dry.
