Hope this is the right board for this. Anyone know what the current in store price for Disney Gift Cards is? Trying to judge if it is worth the price of a membership for our upcoming trip.

I prefer to buy ours at Target. It’s a 5% discount if you use your target card. We buy one $100 gift card each month for about a year leading up to our trips. It saves us some money and we cover the cost of food for our trip.
You can combine gift cards (up to $1000) on the Disney Gift Card website. https://disneygiftcard.com/

I buy the max (5x $150) every 3 weeks or so and load them onto primary cards on the Disney gift cards site. We are going to save over $250 (4.7%). It only takes a few minutes to transfer each time.

I order them online and use my Disney Visa because they only take debit in the store. That's another 1%.

FYI- If you order them online, it takes 8-10 days to get them.

Thank you. I didn't even think to ask about whether you could use a credit card.

I was actually thinking of trying to find discounted resale Walmart gift cards. I read you can get them online sometimes at some of the places that resell that type of card. My understanding is typically you can find around a 1-2% discount that way plus you can use a points generating credit card to make the purchase of the Walmart gift card. Some older blogs said in store prices on the Disney gift cards were at least at that time lower than the online prices for them so I made this post to see if this was still the case. I don't currently have a Sam's membership so I could not check myself. Finding a gift card resale site offering discounted Walmart gift cards they physically send to you is proving challenging so I thought it prudent to see if there was a current difference in savings in store verses online.

Mostly I'm just researching what is possible in my area. I first tried to pick up Disney gift cards at my local office supply since I get 5x points for purchases there but they said they never get any Disney gift cards.

My local Sam's Club accepts Visa now. We were there a couple weeks ago and I went to use my Visa and then remembered they don't take Visa and the cashier said they now accept it. I guess it changed quite some time ago.
