Current Bounce-back offer

I am currently staying at caribean beach through 10/9 and there is a bounce back offer in the room.....i will start off by saying that Disney looks to be cutting back on the discounts (which they said they would do about a year ago)....the current offer in my room is as follows: free QUICK service Dining Plan for select Disney MODERATE resorts based off a family of 4 in a standard room 5 night/5 day magic your way vacation package for most nights 8/17-9/27/2012 for a cost of $2,039 OR free Disney Dining Plan based off 5 nights/5 day magic your way vacation package at disneys wilderness lodge or disneys animal kingdom lodge based off a family of 4 for most nights 8/19-9/27/2012 for a cost of $2590. Those are the only 2 resorts listed and the 8/19 is not a typo either....

Not the best deal, especially since I'm in a moderate now doing 10 nights/10 days w/ hoppers & w/ free regular dining w/a family of 4 and I payed just under $3300........next year, if I took this offer,it looks as if I would pay close to $4000 and get quick service dining.....so I would get the lower dining plan and pay $700 more.....I can't see how this is a deal......needless to say.....I wont be taking advantage of this offer!

One more thing.....havn't seen a love bug yet and I got here 9/29......

Yeah, the discounts are definitely being scaled back. I read another thread about a PIN offer that I thought was pretty weak too. My partner and I have been saying that when the deep discounts stop coming in, we'll know it's the right time for us to buy DVC. Looks like that time is nearing!

A bounce back offer that only targets a single month? I can see scaling back free dining to QS for a moderate, that would fall in line with scaling back discounts. But 1 month? Why bother taking the time/money to get them printed out and placed in the rooms. Unless perhaps its a test to see the response.

Returned from Yacht Club today.

Bounceback was WEAK!! Free dining plan if we booked August or Sept.

Like I'm really going to pay full price at Yacht Club to get a free dining plan. That's absurd, room discounts are the way to go!
