Curious...Why did they change attraction name " Countdown to Extinction" to " Dinasauer" ??

Always wondered why. Was there a huge Executive meeting, lasting 5 days to change the name and come up with a new one? Were there complaints?....What led into this name change?
Just curious.......

They also made some changes to the ride and changed the Dinosaur statue out front and marquee to match better with the movie.

Yeah, I'd like to see them change it back to CTX also. No one really remembers the movie and the ride ties it in very poorly. I think they need to give the ride a big refurb including changing the name back to give the ride a fresh feel and fix all the effects.

The story is, Eisner wanted to promote the movie Dinosaur. Disney had poured a lot of money into the film and needed a big return. Also the tie in took advantage of the popularity of the Dinosaur craze that was going on at the time.

The other downside of "Dinosaur" and not "CTX", is that "CTX" sounds like it could be an actual ride. You walk in now and it looks like a walkthrough museum. If I didn't know better, that would be the impression I get.
