Yesterday (Thursday March 11, 2004) me and my girlfriend broke up. We had been goin out for 3 months, 1 week, 3 days. The reason was cuz one of the other guys that likes her (who she HATES) threatened to kill me on Monday. I turned him in on Tuesday...he got suspended and put in Juvenial. He said that if me and my girlfriend broke up, he wouldnt do anything to me...so she did it to protect me. She cried for a while, and I cried waitin for the bus and the whole hour long bus ride home. I was in one of those sad/mad mixes. And now, I was tryin to get us back together and come to find out, she likes someone else but still "loves" me. Then, she told me that the love kinda faded to a brotherly love. It's really confusing. What's ur opinion on this???

Also, whats the story of your lost first love?

I'm sorry :(

Nothing is going to help right now, but please believe that better times are ahead. You can get through this. Take care of yourself.

13- impressive! I didn't even have a boyfriend until my sophomore year of high school

Anyway, I'm so sorry to hear about this Wannabe Walt! THat kid who threatened to kill must be really aweful. I hope they treat him bad in juvenile. He deserves it!

THIRTEEN! that explains it! Stop stressing about love life! You are too young and will have many years to worry about that. Focus on school, going out, having friends, playing some sport, etc etc etc... Have fun and don´t worry about girls for now! :animwink:

Sorry to hear about this man. Sad, sad indeed. But as Erika wonderfully said, you can't do much about it right now. But don't worry about it. See, she did it to protect you, as you said. It's okay man--you'll get through this tough time. You're only 13. More love will come into your life. It's alright man, you'll be fine. :)

Then again, if I told myself this if my girlfriend had broken up with me, I'd probably refuse to listen to it.....

I'm 13 and I've been down that road too many times. I have sympathy for ya, bro. I have 3 suggestions:

1. Wait it out. Remain friends with her and don't do anything to make her mad. Don't act mad at her. It only starts a finger pointing fight.

2. Take the benefits. Other girls will have sympathy for you. It's a good time to get points for the "nice innocent guy" feel.

And the most important: Nice guy's finish last. Be dramatic. Act nonchalant but violently. It's kinda like instinct vs. self control but once you master it you will find the true meaning of teenage drama.

my advice is much like the others, you are so young, girls will come and go, but life goes on. and some day, you will meet this incredible woman whom you want to spend your life with, and the others will simply pale in comaprison. give it about 8 or so years though.

and as for my first failed relationship...I have erika beat! I didn't date till my freshman year in college, and that first guy was great. dated for 4 months. he went back to his HS girlfriend (they are no longer together though). I took a year off from dating. met jason. gonna marry him. (after a year ofdating, 2 year engagement). there were a lot of sad times from the first break up, but he is nothing compared to my future hubby. (um, I think I accidently refered to him as my husband in a few other posts. but we are not married yet. oops.)

hang in there. one day will go by and you will think about her. then a week will go by and you will think about here once or twice. and then after a while, she will be a distant memory.

 I can't tell if your last paragraph is a joke or not, but I hope it is! NEVER act violently, and ALWAYS be as nice as you can (without becoming a doormat).

It was a joke...I shoulda added a smiley too make it more apparent. My fault! I wouldn't act violently over something like that :lookaroun :lookaroun

You've heard it from everybody else here, and now hear it again from a guy who's had his heart broken more than once.

It seems tough now. But I promise you every day that it'll get better. And in a few weeks you'll look back at this whole experience and find out that you'll have learned something that can make your next relationship that much better.

I can't promise you that you'll never have your heart broken again, but I can promise you that each time you'll be stronger and more apt to be a better person from this point on.

It's tough now, but you can get through it. Stay strong. Everyone has had the heart-break situation. You know what you need? One of them college girls! :animwink:  Hang in there tough guy.

My first love was a pretty bad experience too. I am pretty sure I was probed by three aliens while camping in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. Five days later and a micro-chip implant I was dumped somewhere in North Dakota. It's been 14 years and I haven't heard back from my "out of this world" soul mates. I am over them now, although I wet myself and forget my name every time I walk by a working microwave oven.

True love is the only heart disease that is best left to "run on"--the only affection of the heart for which there is no help, and none desired.

How are you feeling today? Maybe some time with the guys would help. Sometimes you need to be alone, but sometimes you really need your friends. I prescribe some video games and stupid movies- the dumber, the better. Anything to get you laughing.
