Show me more recent articles like the one posted from other sources...the media isn't 100% behind Roy, but I guarantee that the media isn't exactly 100% with Eisner either....

;)

I agree with you objr:

How come Eisner (Disney if you will) has hired a lobbyist to help with the fight??? Alot of money spent to fight an Idiot, but Mike knows what he is doing?? How come they have the"Spin Machine" on high since the vote??? How come Disney won't release the true numbers of the Mar 3 vote? If Roy is such an Idiot, how come he got 7 major pension funds to vote against Mike?? Why hasn't Mike been on any TV talk shows with more balls then Larry King?

Larry," So Mike do you like thick or thin crust pizza?"
Mike, " Thin crust, like we sell at Pizza Planet in Animal Kingdom?"

Yes sarcasm!

I'm sure lebernadin will have some witty comeback to these figures
:zipit:

Also whoever said the stock is high needs to get the old glasses cleaned. Yep they are as high as they were in 1997!! The only thing on the rise is the price of admission and Mike's bonus checks.

Party on Wayne!
Party on Garth!

I honestly don't know what's going on. I don't know who's to blame, but as soon as I saw Atlantis in the theaters (way before SaveDisney.com controversy even existed), I knew something was wrong in the Disney Company.

Atlantis was so unlike Disney. How could a company w/ such a reputation for animated films like Disney finally go half *** on a project? I know some of you may be offended even w/ me bleeping that out, but I really don't know what else to call it. Why is Disney being accused of suppressing their creative team, not letting them come up w/ the great ideas that define Disney in the first place? What happens is this talent leaves. And I disagree when people blame the lack of interest in 2-D animation on the increased interest in 3-D (Pixar).

I think 2-D animation is its own unique art form and if Disney did it right, they could easily save it from its current title of "a dying art." Besides, if the reason Disney's traditional animated films haven't been successful is because of the rising interest in Computer Animation, then why did Disney let Pixar leave??

If the Company is considered successful right now, then I think it's only because of genius financial planning--which I do agree is important. Like Roy said himself in his vision for the Company, "it IS a business." I agree that people need to be paid, but where does this money come from? The consumers! However efficiently and effectively the Company is getting money from consumers right now, if it doesn't do something to make their consumers happy again, the money won't be there for long.

I think the only way for them to do this is to put the emphasis back on creating and innovated good, quality entertainment consistently. No, NOT recycling product--this is what Disney competitors do. They must continue to stay ahead of the game, put money back into their feature animation department to create good quality entertainment.

I think it'll take time, but even if it's Eisner himself who agrees to do this, I'll be happy, and I'll bet consumers start coming back.

I also agree, after checking the financing of Disney online, that the numbers are looking better, but I'm still sticking to my belief that great product produces great financing which comes around again to produce great product again--the cycle starts w/ the product, not the financial schemes.

So, I'm visiting WDW this May (which I'll probably enjoy no matter what being the positive person I am!) and I'll have to find some time to see Home on the Range. Then we'll see if Micheal really is on the road to recovery like he claims.

P.S. I think we have to be sure that this is not a fight against a particular person, but against the poor leadership that has because to wear on a Company that many on this message board and beyond have come to love. If Eisner and the Board woke up tomorrow w/ amnesia, forgot all of their financial schemes and started putting money back into quality product, all my support would go to Eisner...

... We'll see if that happens.
