Crush's Turtle Twister

Earlier there was a discussion on which disney movie would be good for a next e-ticket. the idea about crush's E.A.C (the scene in finding nemo where they are in the huge current) coaster was brought up. It sounded like a great idea. Later I found out from someone that there is a ride in Paris that is already working on this. i pictured it being Lim launched and fast paced but instead it had a lift hill. That doesnt mean it wont be fast paced or anything but it seemed different. I then viewed a pictured of it and realized that this should be MGM's next ride. It would fit perfect! The ride has been rumored that its in the dark and there was awesome stuff mentioned. now if MGM had this ride it doesnt mean it would be the same but it would be sweet!
Heres the ride

www.dlrp.fr is a french site which has updates on the construction typically every copuple of days, to view the site in english click on the union jack flag at the top right of the screen

crush's turtle twister is one of, i belive 2 ride (it may be more) being added to the walt disney studios park in paris and will create a new land called toon studios due to be opened in 2007.

i forgot to mention that this new land is like toon town fair and is aimed at younger guests. This is because people complained that the park did not have many rides for younger children

The ride itself didn't appear to be that spacious to allow those extra effects that make Disney rides so much better

its gonna be in Toon Studios, its a kids area, its not very big... itll probably end up being like Goofy's Roller Coaster. Not that im complaining, i love Goofy's Rollercoaster! ill probably never end up in paris though... im not complaining about that either

I know its in Pairs not Orlando but still if they made it in Orlando a lot more work would be put into it. I'm not saying the paris version will be bad I'm just saying that so far it could be better.

Looks cool.

Maybe they could build a larger version of something like this at MGM. At least it would be another attraction (which MGM certainly needs)!

Not like Barnstormer. Much more intense.
Looks nice.

"Crush's Turtle Twister, things are also going fast, especially on the roller-coaster part. (It will be half dark ride - with dry-for-wet technology - and half coaster.) The coaster track is coming from the Maurer Sohne company, and as you can probably guess, the ride vehicles will resemble giant sea turtles, with riders seated on their backs. Not only will the vehicles will go down the coaster, but they will also spin at the same time, which promises to be fun."

Cheers.

now will this ride be covered up or what. Anybody have any concept art.

It's a slightly modified spinning mouse coaster from, I believer, Maurer Sohne. It has an extended run from the station to the lift hill that includes some additional show.

Most of the ride is enclosed, as I recall. I have the blueprints around somewhere, but it'd take me a minute to find them and I'm supposed to be on a conference call in a second.

This actually looks like it might be a good effort. I'm really interested in seeing how it turns out.

Here's a video of an unthemed version.
Keep in mind, Disney's version will be indoors, heavily themed, and with an extended dark ride section.

wow this ride definatly needs to be built in MGM, that track layout and the way it just takes off on the "E.A.C" is just downright awesome.
one question
that top link, showing the xtended stuff,is that the ride system that is being used in paris or is that just a rough example?
