Crush's Turtle Spin Coaster

The lines for Crush in Paris are way too long, always. Which means that for me, they might as well not have built it - I just don't do that whole '60 minute wait / 3 minute ride' thing anymore. That's old skool themeparking.

Crush might work in Fla - if they build a double version, and add fastpass. Then let it compete with Toy Story's fastpass.

I LOVE Crush's Coaster, it's my joint favourite ride with Tower of Terror. I go on it multiple times every trip and never wait more than half an hour at the most, it's all about choosing your time. Last time we visited, in November, we had been on it 3 times before the official park opening time!

I agree - but there is one trick that I learned: Don't go there first thing in the morning but rather last thing in the evening.

With the regular 10am opening of the WDS there usually is already a huge line at park opening. But they seem to leave the sign showing a long wait time in the evenings even if the line has become shorter. When we were there it constantly had a line of over 60 minutes but when we hopped into line 5 minutes before park closing, we only waited 35 minutes. Which for Crush is nearly like no wait at all!

The theming issue wouldn't stop them from bringing a similar ride to WDW -- just retheme it to be a wild ride with Mater or Ratatoullie's race throught the Paris sewers or Tarzan skating through the trees -- lots of possible themes could make it work.

The capacity issues, which are obvious and the track stress issues, which I wasn't aware of, would be much harder to overcome. Still, I would hope that guest response to the ride will convince Disney officials to bring versions of this to the US. It is certainly one my favorite rides anywhere.

It does have capacity issues in Paris, but I never noticed anything with the track when I was on it. Also in Walt Disney Studios in Paris there are only a handful of other rides, so combining that with capacity creates ridiculously long lines. It is a fun coaster, with more rides in DS and maybe a dual track it could work

Soo...with Crush's Coaster not an option - if something were to be greenlit (which really really needs to happen at HS soon) - what would the most likely attraction be? DOes TDO even have an idea of what they would add?

I agree, they seem to be resting on the laurels of RNR, which is a great ride but its over 10 years old now. Time to hit us with something big!!!!

Last big single attraction at the parks that was a unique idea was EE at AK.
