Crush's Coaster in AK?

Yep...very similar layout.
But, at DSP the ride is indoors, and between the station and the lift there is a substantial dark ride portion.

If you look at the top left portion of this Design Concept of Toon Studios, it looks like the coaster will go outside the building as well.

From Wiki:

The attraction will be housed in a large soundstage with an underwater-themed facade at the front and an outdoor (albeit covered) queue line themed to an Australian pier. Guests will decend underwater into the showbuilding and board vehicles designed to resemble the sea turtle - Crush - from the film. After travelling through the front of the building and taking an outside downards dip in a ghost train-style set up, the dark ride portion of the ride will begin. This short, slow-moving section will feature animated scenes from the film, with a state-of-the-art 3D projection technique allowing Nemo and Squirt to follow you through the scenes as if they were right before you.

A climb up through the sunken submarine lands you in trouble with the three sharks, Bruce, Chum and Anchor, who spark off the roller coaster section of the ride. After a series of twists, dips and turns - as if the Eastern Australian Current you return to the station and the ride is over.

i really would love this attraction to come to WDW.
maybe not for AK but for MGM studios, think about it.
millionaire is going by the end of the year and that is a huge building,MGM needs a new ride to spice it up a little,i mean AK has just got everest,MK has just got jack sparrow added to POTC and epcot seems to be doing just fine on the popularity front with soarin.all of these are big crowd pullers and to me MGM seems to be getting lift in the back a bit so to speak.

im all for this crush coaster, even if it is only and IDEA for DLP, it should definatly come to WDW..........dude.

Will this ride be along the lines of Goofy's Barnstormer, but indoors?
It's NOT a kiddie ride... And it's not going to be build in Walt Disney World...

Not really that similar to Primeval Whirl (the portable Reverchon spinning wild mouse), but close enough that it won't show up at AK. Probably not coming to WDW at all.
That was my first thought when I clicked on this thread.

Damn, look at that 90° banked turn on the right. Not a kiddie ride for sure! Looks fun!

Looks like a fun coaster, and I wouldn't mind something of the sort, even with that exact track layout, coming to WDW. I just don't want it themed to Nemo. I think if themed differently, and more than likely at MGM, it would be a good edition to WDW, but I think Nemo is getting enough as it is. Also, I do not like the idea of a Nemo or ocean based section to the AK, not because it would be bad (it probably wouldn't be, so long as its ocean-themed), but because thats money that should be going to BEASTLY KINGDOM!

So, first they build the track, and then enclose the track inside the building. Does anyone know if this same method was used in other Disney indoor coasters (RnRC, Space Mt.)?

Lilo and Stitch is probably one of the better recent Disney movies. It's just that they messed up with the attraction based on it and merchandised the crap out of Stitch.
Somewhere I saw an incredible Armchair Imagineered Lion King attraction. I really ought to track that one down.
EDIT: Found it: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22010&highlight=lion+king

OMG............ I have never saw anything like this EVER. WDI has to hire this guy. I know this will never happen, but it would be cool to have this in DAK or MGM. MGM propbably doesn't have enough room (unless they use some of the backlot area) DAK has plenty of room every where, maybe they could retheme Camp Minnie-Mickey and put the ride by Festival of the Lion King. It's probably too similar to the Safari though....... I am totally in love with this ride (even though it will never happen) BY FAR Disney's best Mountion!!!!!!!

WOW! That ride looks cool! And doesn't seem all that big from the photo. If they were to consider it for WDW, could something that size fit where the Hunchback theater is over at the studios?

I think a Crush Coaster would be great were it cut from the same mold as Goofy's in Toontown. It needs to be a mild coaster, something that would appeal to the youngest. Disney needs to maintain that mix, and they need to have dark rides/mild rides to balance every thrill ride they put in.

I totally agree with you........this looks like an teen/adult rollercoaster so why theme it to a (dare I say this) kids movie.........Don't get me wrong I love Finding Nemo, I just don't think many adults/teens like it.......if you want to build a teen/adult coaster theme it to something that that age group perfers (Aerosmith, RnRC; The Twilight Zone, Tower of Terror)........if your making a dark ride that appeals more to children theme it to somehing they enjoy (Finding Nemo, Pooh, Snow White other animated movies)
