Cruise Suggestions

Looking for some suggestions from this amazing group. We did the 4 day land/3 day cruise in November of 2001 and had a blast. And we're thinking of doing the cruise again, but trying one of the 7 day itineraries.

Any recommendations as to the Eastern or Western Carribean itinerary? Or would you stick with the WDW/Bahamas itinerary?

Any recommendations as to the best time of year to give this a go (bearing in mind I have 2 school age kids)?

Thanks.

We've done both the 7-night cruise and the 4-night (over New Year's Eve). We loved the 7-night and would highly recommend it! We chose the Western itinerary and had a blast (we're planning on the Eastern in the next couple years). The stops were a lot of fun and it didn't seem to matter if you chose shore excursions or not - always things to do! The 7-night definitely gives you more time to relax and enjoy the ship. If you haven't done Palo, it's a must. The spa is fantastic as well - we've done couples massages on both of our cruises. As far as time of year - our 7-night was in October and the 4-night was over the holidays. It was much less crowded in October, but the weather was great for both. If a holiday cruise is possible, I'd say go for it. The decorations were incredible and they did a lot of fun events on board. The New Year's Eve celebration was incredible with fireworks off the top deck and a huge party!!

You can't go wrong with a Disney cruise! :sohappy:

It depends on what you want to see. I am partial to the Eastern - the normal - I obviously have not done the special ones out next summer. I like the Eastern because I like the Virgin Islands, I love that they have mountains.

The Western has 4 ports, the Eastern has 3 - which I also like because I enjoy days at Sea.
