Cruise or Disney World first??

My friend and I are looking to do a Disney cruise (neither of us have ever been on a cruise before!) so we decided to the Disney Dream since it will only be 3-4 days onboard. My question is, do we plan to go to the parks before we go on the cruise or when we get back? What is everyone's experience with this? I am assuming I must call to link the two together.. the cruise bus will pick you up from a resort, right?

Used to do WDW before and after the cruise, but dcl is so relaxing we now do it after if we can since WDW is more rushed.

We did WDW before the cruise, and then we had them take us back to WDW on our last day because our flight didn't leave until like 9PM and we still had a park pass day left. Have fun!!

I hope it works out for you. We're taking our 1st Disney cruise in June. We're doing Universal and LEGOLAND before and WDW after. Hopefully it will be an easy transition from cruise to the parks.
