Crowds on President's Day weekend?!??

I'll be heading over to the world this weekend. I had trouble booking my room because of availability this time, so I'm thinking it's going to be crowded.

What are your experiences on past President day weekends? Has is been crowded?

Thanks,

My mother is a seater at Artiste point and she said they have 400 priority seatings for both Saturday and Sunday. They usually do 200 - 250 on a normal night plus walk-ups. From what I hear this is usually one of their busier times, then it dies down for a couple of weeks before the huge crowds descend for Easter Week. Have a great time anyway. As every Disney fans knows crowds shouldn't make or break your trip!

Touringplans.com lists The weekend at 8 and 9 (out of ten). If you subscribe to their school of thought, this would indicate peak waits between 75-95 minutes at the most popular attractions. I am sure you will have a terrific time despite the crowds.

The crowds never get me down... I had a great time at the world during New years a couple of years ago. If you can survive that, President's day will be a piece of cake.

We are going the 23-26. Do you think the crowds will have thinned by the second weekend or will they be the same? We tried to make reservations for the weekend before and could not find anything, but had no problem for the 23-26. We are also going to the P&P Party on the 23! Can't wait to be back home!

In addition to the holiday and Mardi Gras you have the Daytona 500 that weekend. It will be busy but don't let that stop you. I would steer more towards MGM, AK, and EP on the weekend. Save MK for about Tuesday. Have fun!:animwink:

According to everything I've read the Presidents Weekend Crowds usually die down by Wednesday
Have a great time:wave:

Quite a few of the local school districts have Monday off (though NOT the one I teach in :( ). This coming weekend will be plenty busy at the parks (though the Daytona crowd seems to stay on the Space Coast pretty much, and the state fair in Tampa will pull some more west). The next few weekends after that should be about as light as crowds get these days, until spring break kicks in.

We were at Shades of Green and Epcot last weekend - longest waits we saw were an hour for Soarin' and 30 min for Test Track, and everything else was 0-10 min. Had no problem getting priority seating for lunch at the Biergarten. Got a Friday night poolside rez at SOG with 4 days notice - it was sweet.

Only bad thing - the beers of the world booth at UK is finally gone (they kept it running for awhile after food and wine fest was over). Have a great time - avoid MK until school's back in if you can - that's the one the families will hit over the long weekend.
