Crowds in September?

Hey! I'm new to the board!

We have a trip planned for Sept 1-8 this year and I was wondering what the crowds look like, generally, for that time? Most things I see say that it really shouldn't be crowded, but wonder from others experience what it's generally like!

Thanks so much in advance :D

Not too bad. We have gone early Sept. before and found it fine. It will be busy because it's September & Free Dining but school will be back in session so expect crowds but not "Summer" crowds. It still will be HOT, and you've got to worry about hurricane weather but its a nice time to go.

Britt, the first 3 days of your trip are the Labor Day holiday---the parks will probably be crowded those days.

I've kind of toyed with the idea of doing Universal on Monday (Labor Day) instead of Disney...maybe doing one of the low key parks without Magic Hours on Sunday, then Universal, and then back to the parks the rest of the week? So maybe we'll only have 1 day of busy lines/crowds instead of 1/2 our days!

We were there two years ago over this very weekend, and will be back ourselves Sept 1-7... let me say, two years ago we WALKED on to ALL e-ticket rides. Even on the holiday weekend, the crowds were minimal. On one of the days of our visit, we actually made it to all four parks and rode all the important rides ;) At worst, we waited 30 minutes at Toy Story Mania... on EMH morning. Walked right on Everest, Soarin, Test Track... no waits, other than the time it took to walk through the queue. Because of the lack of crowds, we're going back this year during the same time frame. It will be hot, but cheaper rates and lack of crowds gets me back there!

First week of September is a good time crowd-wise. Even Labor Day weekend isn't too bad. Hit the big attractions when the park opens, and the rest of the day take it easy as the lines shouldn't be too bad.
