I can't give you exact numbers--though if you search you will find other threads answering the same question...

We ALWAYS go in late September/Early October...and I have to say that last year, due to the Free Dining promotion offered...it was far busier than it typically is at that time of year... Hopefully by the time your trip rolls around (2 weeks after the free dining promotion ends...though anyone checking in on or before September 30th can continue it for the length of their stay) it should be well over... In October of 2004 it was pretty quiet--but then again Florida was hit with numerous hurricanes that fall which kept a lot of tourists away... (hence the free dining promotion).

It's still not as bad as it can be during peaks season--not by a long shot... and at least you arrive AFTER the busy Columbus Day weekend... You should be fine. :)

Thanks for the quick reply. I just found out the the Funai Golf Classic is during our trip. Im hoping that wont affect the crowds too much. What do you all think?

We usually go the last two weeks of October (Not this year though. :( ) and find it to be a wonderful time to go!
The weather is typically great, although last year we did have one hurricane day. I guess you have to take your chances with that.
Crowds are generally very manageable!
Don't know if there are any other special events during the week you are going, but I can tell you that both the F&W and MNSSHP are tops!
Have a great trip and have a Dole Whip for me! :slurp: :)

We were there last year during the Funai and didn't notice any rise in crowd levels. It's a wonderful time of year to go--especially with the very minimal crowds.

October is my fav time to go. Before the holidays and small crowds. The parks close earlier....but you walk on everything. So you don't get so wiped out.
