Hello everyone!

Looking to plan another Disney vacation in May. We have never been there at that time of year and I am trying to get some feedback as to how the crowds are at that time of year. Thanks for your help!

Heading for the great escape.
I have been a few times in May and its a good time to go. Crowds are enough to give the parks a bit of atmosphere but not too busy to get huge lines. it does seem to get busier in the last week as the start of the holidays roll around. The weathers prety good too.

I have been in May too. It did seem a lovely time to be there. I believe the flower festival will be on at EPCOT which is nice. The weather was good when we were there, and the queues short for the rides. We has no rain except a storm on one night.

I have been 5 times in the first 3 weeks of May. The crowds have been not a problem except at the MK on EE days and definately every Saturday. It is even worse if they shedule fireworks and SpectroMagic to occure on Saturday only. The other parks are easy to handle though busier on EE days.
The weather has ranged from mid 90's daily to High 70's to low 80's daily with very little to no rain.

Went last May and it was great. The smaller crowds more than make up for the earlier closing times of the parks and fewer parades.
MK was busier, as noted above, but early morning touring is still great.

My husband and I went during the last week of May '02. Memorial Day weekend was a little crowded, but do-able. We avoided MK during the actual weekend. After that, the rest of the week was great. We're from NY, and the kids were still in school. To us, it didn't seem too crowded. I think the longest wait for any ride was TT is EPCOT. The weather was perfect - maybe one brief rainstorm one night before Fantasmic!

Have a great time!:)

Some of our friends went this last May and they said it was quiet, but they did loose 2 days out of 14 to very bad rain.

Personally the rain doesn't bother me, but it might bother you.

TRUE! Go during the flower festival at Epcot! I have no interest in flowers but what I saw this year was AWESOME! I'VE NEVER SEEN SO MANY FLOWERS IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! I will be adding pictures to my website soon of this event.

the crowds were average. Not dead but not slammed. I think I had a 2 minute wait at TOT, honestly.

Nothing was too busy except in the MK which is always busy.

We were there at the end of May this year. Temperature was high 80's/low 90's and we had about half an hour of rain as I remember. Lines weren't too bad, but the Fastpasses helped. I did stand and watch a huge electrical storm in the distance one night which was awesome, as we don't really get them like that over here.

We went the second week of May this year and it was great! Very minimal wait on every ride and there were characters everywhere. We couldn;t walk into a park without seeng a character meet and greet-we saw Mickey every day we were there! We only stayed in WDW for 4 days but did more than we did the previous year staying for 10 days (and still stuck to a very laid back schedule).

It was so good we are going to schedule our next trip for May of next year as well!
