Crowds in Early June

I'm leaving a month and a day from now for WDW from Houston. It's the day after school lets out for summer for my kids.

I know that schools around the country tend to get out later than we do in Texas, but I'm guessing that's even more pronounced this year because of makeup days from this very cold, icy and snowy winter around the country.

Does that sound right? Any chance that impacts crowds for my family from June 7-14? Asking more to get a sense from those from other parts of the country who might be aware of those makeup day situations.

Chicago Burbs chiming in. Our last day this year is 6/5 for elementary, and 6/6 for high school. We went last year starting 6/11 and between the crowds and heat (even people with southern accents were saying it was too hot too soon), we went back to going over our spring break, last full week of March. Spring break for us was not as crazy crowded.

Also seemed like every family reunion in the US was there when we were there in June. Still had fun, just wouldn't go then again.

I'll be there June 1-6 (coming home on the 7th). From everything I've been told, the earlier in June, the better in terms of crowds. Yes, SWW can add to the crowd levels, but DH and I will be going to HS on a Monday, which is probably better in terms of crowds than Sunday or Friday would have been, given that it'll be the day after a SWW day. Kind of like how a lot of the websites recommend going to a park the day after its EMH... same idea (although HS has evening EMH that day, so it'll be interesting to see if our theory holds up or not).

DH likes Star Wars, but not enough to brave the madness from what he tells me lol.

Also, Gay Days are the tail end of our trip/beginning of yours, and that tends to draw a bit of a crowd at whichever park they are at each day. I think it's AK on Thursday 6/5, HS on Friday 6/6, MK on 6/7, and Epcot on 6/8... so if you're trying to maneuver through higher crowds, you might want to take that into consideration as well.

We live in Illinois...used 14 snow days this year and the last day for students is May 29th. Seniors get out May 16th and graduation is the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. Last day for teachers is May 30th but they can leave once their room has been given the all clear and signed out. We gave up part of our spring break and other holidays like Pulaski Day to make up some of our snow days. We only have to make up the first five days the rest are considered 'Acts of God" days. We are leaving on the 30th and know it will be busy....but FUN!!!! Enjoy your trip!
