Okay folks, 66 days and counting. I was just wondering with the celebration starting on the 5th how do you think this will affect crowds for that week?
Our family will be there starting May 2nd. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!:sohappy:

Usually, the first week of May is relatively moderate. There might be crowds for some things and not for others. For example, when I went last year, BTMR and Splash had wait times of 45 minutes, where as Space Mountain had a wait time of about 5 minutes. However, with the celebration starting this month...I would assume that the crowds would increase just a little, since a lot of people are going to try to catch this event when it starts. The other thing to take into account is that a lot of people will still be in school at that time, so a lot of families won't be there yet. Basically if it is extremely crowded take advantage of FastPass and if staying on property, Extra Magic Hours.

As for your question mangosink, I don't think that Cinderellabration is going to cause a huge influx in May crowds simply b/c it starts today (I believe) so the majority of the people who are locals will be going as soon as possible, so the only thing that will cause an influx of people will be the ones who want to experience the whole Happiest Celebration on Earth.

We are goin April 29th to May 3rd, and then heading over to Vero Beach from the 3rd to the 6th. I am hoping we will miss any crowds during this time.

I really like FlA in May, good weather, hot but not too hot and not as rainy as summer.

I am happy to hear really big crowds are not expected.

We're goign May 5-9. Don't forget Epcot closes early on the 5th for a press event, so I am sure MK and MGM will definetly be busier that night.

Can't say for sure for this year, but we were there the first two weeks last May and it was incredible. The parks were not exactly slow, but there were few really long waits. We still used fast pass, but on many attractions we didn't need it.

Have fun!
