Hubs & I are heading down Oct 26-Nov 2, neither of us have been this time of year. From 1991-2007, I went with my parents & sister every May (before schools down south were let out for summer vacation) and I recall it being busy, but not overly crowded. Just wanted an idea of what the crowds are like late fall (I am taking into consideration Mickey's NSSHP, Halloween itself, there not being a 'slow' time of year anymore etc) Thank you in advance!

We went only once during that time in 2014. 10/30-11/6 to be exact. We found it to be decently crowded - not unmanageable by any means, but definitely not light crowds. But that's just our one experience. Also, it was unseasonably chilly with lots of wind so I don't know if that impacted crowd levels at all (locals coming in to enjoy the parks without massive heat and humidity?)

We are going the same time (10/25-11/5). We've been on either side of those weeks before as well. It isn't as crowded as summer peak or Christmas, but it isn't dead anymore either. It really shouldn't be too bad, especially during the week. Epcot will be busy Fri-Sun because of F&W. There are 5 MNSSHP's during your 8 days, so the 3 days without will be busy too. None of the crowd calendars rank that week in the high numbers (8-10) and most days are in the 5-7 range. Manageable with some planning.

I think like others have said in this and other threads, the "off season" seems to be getting shorter and shorter or no longer existent.

We went in late October 2015 (24th-30th) and it seemed very crowded the entire time. Wall to wall crowds in MK and Epcot for the majority of the days.

We go down in February, and have found crowds pretty thin except around Presidents day and Valentines day. Otherwise, we had LOT of room to move around.....anyway, that doesn't answer the original question about October.... ;-)

Planning is what I've been spending most of my free time doing :) I can't remember putting this much planning into a Disney trip.. maybe that's because I was younger & Mom took care of it all, ha ha. Anyway, it's fun & is getting us excited for our trip!

I have no advice, just in the same boat as you. We will be down from oct 21-25 and I'm hoping it's not too bad. I see mostly moderate crowds expected for that week and we are planning with halloween parties and f&w in mind. Mostly I want more extra magic hours announced!

I went to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom on a Saturday in November. Let me tell you, Hollywood Studios was busy, but not busy as in NYE crowds, AK was pretty quiet that day too (but not dead, though).

When I went in 2013, the crowds were not bad at all. The exception, of course, was World Showcase on weeknights and weekends, which turned into a madhouse. In the day, though? So very, very nice and relaxing.
