Crowds during the First Two Weeks of May?

I am planning to arrive May 8th and will be there for two weeks, until the 22nd. Most of the time spent at WDW but doing some outside attractions also.

What are the crowds like in the early part of May? School is not yet out for most school aged children so I am thinking the crowds will be moderate at best. No major holidays occur during this time.

What is Mother's Day like at Disney Studios? It is generally a light day on Sunday, does that still hold true? Mother's Day to me would only draw locals at best, as it is not a traveling holiday, and would probably draw most of them to the MK.

I'm hoping this time period will be light as well. I've been told by a few people that it is usually not to bad. We will be @ WDW from April 30-May 15th. Maybe I'll see you!

The first couple weeks of may are a great time to go. The k-12 crowd isn't out of school, and its too close to summer vacation, so most parents don't take them out for a trip. unless of course it is star wars weekend, then its more crowded at the studios.

My last trip was in 2002 (May 5th - 13th).

The parks weren't crowded with the exception of MK on Saturday (it was the only night on the trip to have FITS fireworks and the Spectromagic parade.) Also, the AK seemed to be very crowded on that same Saturday (it was my first time there, so I don't have something to compare it to).

The weather was very hot (it reached the high 90's one day) and it didn't rain at all during the entire trip.

We've gone every year in the first week of may. always light crowds not to bad were looking forward to our trip this year may 2-10
