Could this thread be titled 'they went to Anaheim'? ... How about 'they were all at EPCOT'?

Spoke to a friend a few hours ago, live and in person from the MK where nothing had much of a wait (believe she said 30 minutes was worst) and at 6 p.m. you could dine anywhere except Cindy's.

This is on July 3rd. With all the breathless expectations (OK, to be fair, I didn't read or hear any, but you know me -- or you think you do!), I'm just wondering are all the folks out with Mater or simply across town at Hogsmeade?

Anyone want to tell us they are there and they've never seen the MK so crowded, so therefore it must be one of the busiest days in history?

1) I'm seeing 85 minutes for Space Mountain, 60 for PPF.
2) Tomorrow will be much worse.
3) Weather's been sketchy all evening.
4) I couldn't get a ressie for dinner.

That's better. Didn't take long.

So, it's gotten slightly busier with the fireworks.

And sorry you couldn't get a ressie ... but they were available (not that there are many worthy options at MK for a real dinner).

Whoops that particular comment was about WDW in general. I should have said "couldn't get a ressie at anywhere worthwhile," which is not MK. I'll probably swing by for a hot dog at Casey's tomorrow.

Ah, understandable.

To me, MK has by far the worst and least appealing selection of cuisine at WDW overall ... the Plaza is decent in a pinch, but is tiny and if you need it in a pinch, chances are you aren't going to get in (tonight apparently excepted).

Fireworks delayed an hour at MK-sounds like they kicked off a skull throbbing dance party to calm everyone down.

I prefer the corn dog nuggets for a quick snack - not sure why, but I find them kind of....good. Comforting, fair type food.

That said, MK does need some dining improvements.

Why the delay? Weather?
Off topic.

The most fun I've ever had at WDW was when I was 12 years old and thought I was "gangster." My family and I were waiting for Fantasmic and it was POURING rain. The show was delayed for about an hour and a half but it was our last day so we weren't leaving on the very off chance that the show went on. Long story short, my fatigue and delirium caused me to drop my "hardcore" pose and my 9-year-old sister and I led the 50-people that were left in the park in rousing choruses of classic Disney songs as well as inspiring chants of "poncho in the house!"

...good times.

End rant.

That wasn't a rant. More like good blackmail material you gave the entire world!:D

And while I'm sure you and the sister were so Disney cute, no one on this forum can match Lee when it comes to singing Disney showtunes. Hell, he'll even do some old EPCOT attraction songs if you let him hug your plush first (you haven't lived until you've heard his rendition of Energy, You Make the World Go Round!)

Does he know the French lines in "Canada (You're a Lifetime Journey)?

I've been looking for a partner.

Just another reason why summer is the worst time of year to visit Central FLA.

...it's been raining for roughly four weeks.

The crowds are in their hotel rooms, glued to their internet devices, waiting to see if you have any tidbits you can drop about what's going on with Universal. :)

To transform or not to transform? That is the question.

Can't speak for today but the last few at MK were unbearably busy. If we go again in June, we will try our best to avoid the last week leading into the 4th. Just about everything had at least a 30 minute wait. When I see a decent line at the People Mover, the MK is too crowded for me! (although I would wait for it as it's one of our favorites)

The end of last week was extra bad because of the rain prior. We always get thunderstorms in the evening around here but tropical storm Debbie was dumping just buckets and buckets for about 72 hours straight. When the weather got nice later in the week the parks were mobbed.
