Helllo! I was wondering how crowded Disneyland would be during those periods when I'll be returning home from college for Spring and Summer Break. My Spring Break is from March 7-March 17 and my Summer Break begins during the first week of May. I want to know at what dates the crowd level starts to increase and what would be the best dates to visit the park. Thanks!!!

Disneyland will be busy on weekends between January 7th and April 24th.

Disneyland is offereing the 2fer deal again this year and the parks will generally be busier. It will be packed on the weekend of April 18, 19 and 20th for the last weekend of the deal.

Spring Break times run from Mid-March to the end of April - again very busy.

Make sure to check for conventions:

And avoid Easter weekend.

What does July of 2008 look like as far as crowds are concerned? I'm getting a 3-day park hopper for both Disneyland and California Adventure and was hoping to get in as much of the park as possible between July 20-July 23.

It'll be busy every day during the summer, but if you get there when the park opens, it's almost always pretty empty for the first 2-3 hours. That's the only time I'll go in summer.

I went early June 2007, and the park felt PACKED. I mean, I couldn't move an inch on Main Street before they opened the rest of the park in the mornings. But it wasn't bad enough that I didn't get to do every attraction I wanted (plus lots of bench-time.. and I didn't even stay til closing) in the three days I was there.

I can't imagine how they ever fit more people in there though.

That kinda bums me out. I know how miserable WDW was during last February's Daytona 500/cheerleading infestation/winter break. 45 minute line times for anything remotely worthwhile.

I suppose that's what I get for trying to cram a Disneyland detour into a Comicon trip.

:(

Hey don't be bummed! At least you're going to Disneyland!

Go early & use fastpass wisely and you'll still have fun despite the crowds.

^ Yup!

Smile! You're going to Disneyland! :D

When we went to WDW the other year, we went during a holiday and it was crowded. But we managed to have the best WDW trip we've ever had!

Would the last week of April be pretty decent?

What seems to be the slowest time to go in the fall? September? October?

What about mid to late May? When do schools usually get out over there. I'm trying to squeeze in a trip at some point in May.
Schools here start getting out the first week of June.

The slowest time to go to DL would be January-March. The fall used to be slow, but because of the great Halloween season DL has now, it's more crowded. It's still slow during the fall, but not as much as Jan-March. I went this past Wed, and there was a 5 minute wait for everything the whole day. It was amazing!

From my experience, the park starts to get more crowded at and after Spring break.

In terms of good weather and crowds, which would you personally recommend, September or October? Seeing fall decorations wouldn't be a huge deal to me ...

The weather in September is still warm/hot. October's weather is cool, but can be warm.

In terms of crowds, I'd pick October. Some are still on summer break in September, and then there's Labor day.

Are you going during the week? Tues-Thurs seem to be empty, while weekends are always horrific.

October sounds good. I hate waiting until then though. I'm so anxious to go. I do have my tax refund coming, it won't be nearly enough (about half of a trip) but from now until October, it will give me plenty of time to save up.

I still might try to squeeze in an April trip though.
